i think you are the one need to read few pages back. i already suggested (and so does other forumers here) that we add in back the stretch mode and retain the zoom mode at the first place. we did not say want to replace the zoom with stretch.

if you want me to show the post then i'm happy to scroll back and quote it back here but i'm sure you already few pages back judging by the bolded statement, but forget bout it 10 seconds later.

F1 in ESPN HD is so much better compared to in ch813 (with the same crap commentator though). and yes the decision to continue the MU vs Fulham from 25th minutes onwards is a good one compared to start from minute 0 (it's even nicer if can purposely open another HD channel ).

what they need to fix now is the stretch option comeback, and more channels in case of clash (just like today). upscale quality in F1 is not their fault (noone in the world watching F1 in HD) but they should admit it's an upscaled, not HD!

oh and not to mention i had to mention a thinner lee chong wei now thanks to pillar box (no way gonna hook up few more cables again)

heck why would they want to care for us to see the fat man in action while LCW familt does the same?!?! they just want the screen to fully-filled by LCW's face! (and NOT without his head)

right.. there's nothing wrong with pillar box.. but there's equally right to give back the stretch mode to give me back the option to fill up my TV with images with the head still there. i had my own perception and you got urs, so does others. who is using Zoom now? i bet got 1/2 out there. just give me back the stretch mode and retain whatever its right for others will do. weird and wrong? nothing weirder than watching a LCD with two black thingy on the side.. it's like watching 16:9 movie in a CRT monitor.

i can appreciate it equally when they got the stretch mode option available back then.. but i appreciate stretch mode more (believe me, i tried). yeah now no choice have to bear with the pillar box (zoom mode is super nono).

question: why the zoom mode is there at the first place? who will appreacite half cut hair + missing subs?

true.. stretch is distorting image, but better than a half cut human head in zoom mode. if "zoom" mode doest not have the hair being cut then im fine with it. hopefully the screen fit really does better job than stretch. i would expect every 16:9 SD broadcast will have the proper ratio + display without pillar box. not sure about 4:3 though

upscale is good enough for non-HD channel. just remain the pricing

i only want the banner to appear longer.. now its like appear for 5 seconds top.

and enable back dynamic banner switching (switch channel list on banner, but retain the watching channel).. i want to see what other channel is broadcasting before i switch channel.. now need to press < or > a lot of times
