There is no such thing as a "good" or "ok" split or splitter!

Astro have always supplied one dish with every box and that is what they expect to be installed, for every splitter installed the installer gets to keep a free dish to sell to someone else! All the Astro VIP's have one dish per box, no splitters and each dish is well aligned, so the VIPs get almost zero rain fade and that is what you could of had!

*
Why Astro supplying the dual LNB (65cm dish) for those with 2 decoders?

If the account has 1 Byond & 1 SD DMT, what would happened?

Astro no longer supplying 1 DISH to 1 DECODER, that's my experience.

I'm from KEDAH.

The volume difference between SD & HD channels is OK for me!
Maybe Astro have done something on it!

Already rectified before CNY.

I wonder what is the highest HD resolution is Astro B yond, if not mistaken 1080i. can somebody answer this for me. tq
*
High-Definition TV programmes are currently being produced in 720p and 1080i, depending on which one the programmes producers decide is best for their show. We will be broadcasting Astro B.yond High-Definition channels in 1080i, which is in line with international industry standards.

fyi,

1. New byond smart card are tie to yr decoder, u cannot use yr smart card in other byond decoder or old decoder.
2. can use new beyond smart card plus decoder and connect it using old satellite dish (60), mean if yr frens or yr parent hse still using old decoder, u can just bring back the new byond decoder + smart card and plug it into it (can view both SD and HD channel)
3. Old smart card can be slot into byond decoder but only can use normal video cable only to view the picture. If u use HDMI cable, no picture. i also dunno why. maybe got any brother enlighten on this issue (or need to do additional setting)
4. If u live on condominium that using centralized dish, u still can use new byond smart card + decoder and plug into it. (Only can view SD channel only, HD channel cannot, need to wait for yr condo management to upgrade the dish)

all the scenario above tested.

I didn't see any difference for HD channel if it is connected to my CRT TV....
The bad things, the picture of HD channel will become letterbox...
The PQ same as SD Channels...  sweat.gif

I am using LCD TV Samsung 32" (LA32B350F1) with native resolution of 1360x768.
What HD settings should I use: 1080i/720p/576i/576p?
I tried all the options and to me, there is no difference on HD PQ quality unsure.gif .
Anyone try that?

TQ

Hi, anyone here has hooked up b.yond with HDMI direct to TV then Digital audio to surround system. Seems like not surround audio here.

Got surround, but depends on program source.
NatgeoHD has most of it.

The PQ for SD channels should be like the F1'HD'.

One question, How good can a SD picture will go?
