We were missing the whole backline minus Evra, VDS, Nani's brain, Ljajic, Berba now and then, had our midfielders cover in defence and whatnot for quite a lot of games. Yet we are where we are right now. Judging that, Chelsea should be streets ahead. But we're right behind their ass. They also forgot to mention Diouf who only joined us a few weeks back. If he had joined earlier, we might have wrapped up the league already.

Hopefully I can wake up at 4am in the morning. Gonna catch it through streams. Netresult are effing retards though. Bloody annoying %^$%^! Can see their website links shown in the statusbar down there at the stream's website. It will take a long time to connect if I'm lucky that is, when that happens. The picture will be choppy at stuff. Stupid idiots had to spoil the fun of others. Hope their servers burn to the ground.

why don't try p2p streaming?

Sopcast and whatnot? These days hard to find working ones, especially the ones stated on that myp2p.eu. Need the others to share the working channel number.

Because we still have SAF there. How about when he left and we know Man Utd not as rich as City and Chelsea
*
We should still be able to be around the top since most of our players are of a good age. The likes of Giggsy, Gary, Scholesy and VDS will be gone, but others will step up. We seem to have a promising batch of youngsters too in the academy.

Missed the first 45 mins. I take it I didn't miss much? M.City are defending in numbers though which is annoying.

Giggs played the cross in for Fletcher's chance in the end. Straight after that he was crossing to Rooney to head home. Last time it was in the 96th min, just now it was 92nd min. How the hell are we going to replace him. Thank god Nani is showing signs of having his brain back functioning.

His crosses have always been dangerous. But since he came back from injury, he's been keeping things nice and simple. Those early crosses from him are very good. Keep that up Nani!

The best thing about Nani is that he finally accepts the team aspect of the game now. No more fannying when he's clattered and getting up and tracking back. I really enjoy watching that aspect of his game, the same aspect that Rafael has yet to pick up.

But Giggs - what a player. I was thinking that he was tiring out and expected him to be subbed off but it just goes to show how well he conserves his energy for the whole game. No sign of mental and physical fatigue at all! Even Evra was tiring out towards the end.

MOTM:
Fletcher
Giggs
Scholes
Rooney
Carrick

Hell, our midfield was brilliant! Nani on any other day would have been in for a shout for MOTM. Shows how good we were.

+1
He's keeping it simple most of the time, and bring out the extra only when needed. Those extra special moments are very pleasing on the eye. drool.gif His early crossing and general crossing/passing are top notch too. Really hope he has found his 'thing' now and he can keep that form from now on. Even if he doesn't have a threatening game, hopefully he can keep it simple and tidy most of the time. We just need him to play like this on the other side of the pitch. If he does, along with Valencia getting better and better with Rafael and Evra behind them, it will be one hell of a sight. With Rooney being in the form that he is in right now, he's going to get bucket loads. Would love to see how Diouf does. He's pretty good in the air.

Perhaps Nani is more comfortable on the right. This is not too good for us as Valencia is equally good there too.

He performed quite well too down the left before he lost his brain. He's keeping it nice and simple now which is making a difference to his play.

From our own academy: Evans, Brown, Scholes, Fletcher, Giggs
English: Carrick, Rooney, Rio.

Nice. That's the way it should be. Hope the next guy will keep the tradition.

That sucks. With VDS back recently, and last two games him, we looked a lot more solid at the back. Too bad he's going to miss the next 4 games. Massive games too, Arsenal, Villa, Everton. On the flip side, we get to rest him a bit. Thank god Vidic and Evans is around.

QUOTE(IgnitedSoul @ Jan 29 2010, 03:37 PM)
that line up will probably be in the next 5-10 yaers or so, evra is still good for mayb another 3-5 years so it wouldn't hurt keeping him around. mayb Rafael will break into the squad sooner than his brother Fabio cuz our Right back position is totally whacked. but i definitely wouldn't put Rafael against the likes of Bellamy or Ronaldo or Lennon. as for Smalling its abit too early to say yet.

and i think Anderson will probably be shown the door if he doesn't own up. bad piece of investment.
*
He kept Robinho quiet before. And he did just fine against Bellamy. People are being a bit hard on him because of his 'nature'. He's good at attacking so it's easy to assume that he'll struggle against pacy and tricky wingers. But the likes of Brown, Gary, O'Shea and even Evra struggles just as much against certain opponents. Some they come out on top, some they struggle to keep up with. Rafael has done fine in most games. Of course being the way he is, and looking at his age and experience, he will make mistakes now and then. That should lessen as he grows in experience and age. And he'll only get there by playing. He made 21 first team starts last season. He has 9 already this season and he was injured a it earlier in the season.

Err bad piece of investment? WTH. It's a long term project. He's not needed to perform as a world beater at present time or since he came in till now. What we want from him is good solid performances until he gets to where we want him to be to replace Scholes. I don't know why people are targeting Anderson now. Sure he has bad games now and then, but for god's sake, he's only 21 years old! And he hasn't been that bad like Nani has been for the last 1 year and a half. He has good games, a few decent, a few average and a few poor ones. A young player being inconsistent. Name me another midfielder around the same age that is impressing for a big team aside from Fabregas.. you won't find one.

I call the story bullshit. The Sun. Spokesman for his agents. How many agents does he have? And can't they speak by themselves?

QUOTE(edgeff @ Jan 29 2010, 05:32 PM)
He is a good midfielder, still young and can improve a lot...it is a shame that he is unhappy at United. I think he wants to go bcoz the World Cup is closer and he wants to play regularly..to keep him in the Brazil national team. Hopefully he can sort it out with SAF...goes out on loan for the remaining season and come back next season as a better player.
*
There's no direct quotes from his agent, himself or the club that says he has a problem here. And there's no reason for us to loan him out. We need him in the side. Scholes can't play all the time, and Fletcher and Carrick would need rest now and then. And SAF rates him quite highly since he started many of the big games.

QUOTE(IgnitedSoul @ Jan 30 2010, 12:28 AM)
the reason why ppl are targeting Ando now is cuz of his behavior. would you call his behavior acceptable? well that is sure one wrong way to copy Scholes alright, always having disciplinary problems once in awhile. Ando isn't anything like scholes, scholes shoots from long range and have amazing long passes while ando is more of a dribbler, so no way in hell ando can replace what scholes does he is his own player. if you are talking about replacing scholes Carrick currently come closest but Carrick lacks the creativity scholes have. and the reason why i say its a bad piece of investment is cuz i m assuming the fact that he will be shown the door, and if he is. clubs won't pay as much as we bought him for. its true we can see Nani as under-performing cuz one of the reasons was that we expect him to be like Ronaldo which is not possible. yeah i actually know 1 midfielder that is impressing, ever heard of Juan Manuel Mata before???
*
What behaviour? Are there any proof about his bad behaviour other than unconfirmed rumours? He's one of the happiest guy around and the coaching staff themselves said that. And he said he wasn't even happy with his form last few weeks. And earlier in the season he even volunteered to play for the reserve to keep his fitness up during the international break.

True he's not as good as Scholesy or ever will be. He's not even the same type of player. But if you want to replace Scholesy with like for like player, you would have to be a scientist and build a time machine and start a project to build a clone machine at the same time, get the time machine done in your lifetime, go to the future to bring back a working clone machine and bring it back to 20 years behind and clone Scholes then so that in the year 2010, we have a Scholes clone on our books ready to replace Scholes.

Did we ever replace Beckham's crossing or effectiveness down the right? Have we replaced Cantona, Saha, Ruud, Irwin, Schmeichel.. the list goes on.

And did you know, at the same age, Carrick was playing in a division below than the EPL after West Ham was relegated the previous season? At the same stage people was saying we only kept Fletcher in the team because he is Scottish. Carrick came in to replace Keano since he's the one that was played next to Scholesy which was Keano's previously. Is Carrick as good as Keane? Hell no. Hargreaves is another one, but he's nowhere close to matching up to Keano. Same goes to Fletcher who go through a period of slow progress until just a few seasons back. Even Keane took some time to become monster like for us. 23-25 is when they should become 'man' in midfield. Anderson is just a year or two below that.

Luis Nani was getting abused because he couldn't play a simple game of football at all. He was terrible. Nobody expected him to play like Ronaldo. We just want him to be more useful. With his form previously, it was like seeing a CB on the wings. He was that bad.
