QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Feb 24 2010, 06:14 PM) dude hmmmm total in gbp is 92.68, from my maybank transactions history it shows the total of rm497.68, yeah u should read around first mar. anyway what shipping did u use? if express shipping, almost certainly u will kena. total value in gbp? using express shipping, damn i thought if it was below 500 can avoid tax, didnt know if it was close to 500 would be taxed, sigh, how do i pay the tax if i get taxed? the customs guy will call and go pickup or pay to the postman? here's my order receipt from kitbag, This post has been edited by afiqkhairi: Feb 24 2010, 08:46 PM |

QUOTE(llk @ Feb 24 2010, 08:55 PM) Normally Custom will used bit higher exchange rate when calculate the value of the order. Take for example, i have an order which the actual value was MYR 321 but the custom form shown was MYR 339. So your order seem very high possibility will get taxed. UPS will pay the tax amount & claim from you if the package taxed. alright thanks for your info dude, guess ill just have to bear with it if i get taxed, hmm so to clarify things, the absolutely 100% guarantee wont be taxed amount should be 450 and below lah right |

QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Feb 24 2010, 09:57 PM) your purchase was 93gbp. so thats definitely about rm500. the exchange rate fluctuates daily so when it reaches malaysia, they will use the current rate. sorry to say, u will (almost) definitely get taxed, from my experience. UPS will wanna get the goods to you on time, because that is their duty n promise to the customers. so if it's above the rm500 limit, they will just show the invoice, pay the customs duty and then send it out. then u have to pay the tax when the item reaches your house plus a surcharge of rm25 because they paid for you first. the limit to avoid tax is abit tricky because kitbag negotiates their rates with UPS. so while u paid 12gbp for shipping, kitbag may have paid more depending on the weight of your parcel and other factors. but they only charge you 12gbp so that it's cheap for you. when it comes to customs tax, there are 3 factors that come into play. CIF - C = consignment (the value of your package) I = insurance (any insurance coverage by the shipping company) F = freight (shipping charges) so while your purchase could be low, the freight charges could be high because of the weight of the package and other factors. so dont always try to go so near the limit of rm500. keeping it rm450 and below, and also ensuring that u dont order too many things at one go will ensure that you wont get taxed in the future. i've kena'd before, so it was a very good lesson learnt for me. i believe others have experienced if before too. we just learn from our mistakes, and move on what to do, the order has been placed, thanks for the info anyway, ill be sure to keep this in mind next time im ordering, |

QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Mar 5 2010, 05:52 AM) using express shipping means they will show the tracking number in your account. Yeap, I'm using express shipping, the £11.85 one, normal shipping wont have tracking as it cant be tracked. Just wanted to check on others who pre-ordered too, to see if I'm the only one who is having this prob Btw in my account it shows that my order was shipped using ups on the 25th of february 2010, then below that is the courier reference, but there is no tracking number, there's just a link to the ups website, Something like this, Courier reference : click here to track your order This post has been edited by afiqkhairi: Mar 5 2010, 02:13 PM |

QUOTE(qsp1985 @ Mar 9 2010, 10:39 PM) @hoongfai What shipping method did you use? the 6.95 or 11.85/12.95. dude i used express shipping for my pre-order of england away jerseys, i ordered on the 24th february, until now no tracking number has been given to me, in my profile at kitbag website, it shows like belowRM store is managed by kitbag. So if you choosed the cheaper shipping which is 6.95 then you wont get any tracking number as it is send by standard royal airmail. If you choosed the express shipping you can find the tracking number in you profile on the website. There is no need to email them for the tracking number. Its either you have it or you dont. i have called kitbag 2 times, and emailed them few times, and the replies from both email and call are the same, they could not find my tracking number in their system, i clearly stated that i chose to use express shipping, the 11.85pounds, they said if my parcel does not arrive by this thursday, 11th of march, call them back and they will refund, maybe i am just unlucky, or maybe they accidentally used normal shipping for my order? |

@schmeichel7 lol yeah i know i should've opted for refund, but i was so pissed off with kitbag, and i also aready put aside some money for tax cause i already know high chance of tax, so just let it be,
i was scared that the refund process would take some time, so why not just resend it, and according to the new delivery order, it's free delivery, so MAYBE won't get taxed, but if kena also, ill just swallow it down, haihs ill update when i receive my delivery later, thanks for your advice n opinions though |
