u never know what teams might do with their away/third kits, for example the away kit for Malaysia now is almost like the home kit and vise versa in terms of usage.

Ok i just need to vent on my recent order from Man Utd store. First thing is the embroidery that was poorly customized, i was hugely disappointed with it and to add salt to wound the Carling Cup patch on one of the sleeve is not done properly. And the third thing is the printing done is not Lextra player size rather than PU cheap material, if i knew they use PU all the while i wouldn't even bother to get a name print... I have sent an email requesting for full refund and the customer service replied:

Thank you for your email.

I am very sorry that the item we sent you appears to be faulty. I can only
apologise for this and any inconvenience this has caused you.

Please return your item by Royal Mail Special Delivery, enclosing the receipt
for your postage to:

As soon as we receive the parcel our Quality Control Team will assess the
product and inform you of the outcome.

Once again please accept our apologies for this, and if you have any further
queries please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department.

Well i certainly hope that they don't disappoint me again by claiming a refund is impossible or else this is the last time i'll ever shop at the store again... mad.gif shakehead.gif

the PU nns is official product, it's partly your fault for not checking properly in this forum or ask members here, i think this is a FAQ that Kitbag and United Direct sells their NNS in PU material. if you read the first page, you would have read the info from topic "3. What is player version and replica Names and Numberings (NNs)? What kind of NNs are we buying for the new EPL season?" . Also, the embroidery is standard for everyone, so no complain there. And the patch can be easily ironed back. Considering the rarity of this product and already OOS, u might wanna reconsider keeping this shirt.

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Mar 21 2010, 03:56 AM)
i already buy the NN for RM15 on shopping mall today , ( fake one i guess ,)

we need to cut the number and name  ? it is a piece of plastic .

user posted image
it like one of the jersey i taken as example from the front .

i heard from printing shop ,
we need to add a cloth on it ( name patches) before iron ?
*
no offense, but i wouldnt give any advise on printing fake NNS on a shirt, whether you do it the right way or the wrong way, you'll just gonna screw up a good shirt anyway unsure.gif

I would like to correct this statement a bit, not ALL online stores provide PU nns. In fact, contrary to popular belief, i notice that most online store provide Lextra/Senscilia printing. The only reason why there's worry about PU printing is because among the few that uses PU, are Kitbag and United Direct, arguably the 2 biggest online stores around, especially to the Malaysian audiences. online stores like Subsidesports, Onionbag, even Everton Direct and TigerLeisure of Hull City uses Lextra/Senscilia NNS. Also not to mention NNS sellers like Wiggysports, SS352, Replicaroom, Home of Badges etc that if you do buy jerseys from them, they use Lextra as well. So far i only know of two places that uses PU, which is Kitbag and UD, not sure bout others like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool online store etc.

MOST UCL NNS are PU, of course there's some exception like the Man Utd third kit navy coloured ones, which are thin felt.

nimrod, wait till u get ur hands on the Roma kit, or the kit against Milan that United use and apply NNS on it, then u know wink.gif

IINM the gold UCL font that Arsenal used in 0708 are also felt, not to mention those used by Liverpool and Man Utd in the early 2000s, the one that is same font with BPL NNS, but no Lion Logo on it...these are just a few examples of felt or Lextra NNS for UCL.

Ajax wore their BoH against Juve, so i dun see why Liverpool can't. Probably a matter of club preferences.

I should introduce myself. I came across this site while doing a jersey Google search. It drew me instantly and I have been reading the website as a guest for a bit now. Hopefully I will have something to contribute at the very least.

I want to ask you guys a question regarding match worn jerseys. There's a guy I met who is selling a match worn jersey by one of my favorite players (Claudio Pizarro) when he played for Chelsea in the 2007/08 season, he also claims it was signed.

The story is that he is a season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge and knows the players and the kitman of the team. Well, anyway I am interested and ask him for more pictures. They can be seen here: http://photos.msn.co.uk/Viewing/Album.aspx...Giw$$

My query is if the jersey should have the adidas logo and Chelsea badge screen-printed instead of embroidered? Are they like the Nike match issue/worn jerseys?

Thanks a million if anyone can clear this up.

Hi mate,

First of all welcome!

to answer ur question, the PI kits for Adidas kit circa 2007-08 have embroided Badge and Adidas motif, the only difference is the world FORMOTION instead of the CLIMACOOL tag at the bottom of the shirt. In fact, even Nike match issued shirts nowadays also have Embroided Nike Swoosh and club crest already.

That being said, a PI Chelsea kit does not necessary mean it is a match worn/issued, or signed. It could be a patched up shirt and signed by con artist, so i would be very careful dealing with matchworn sellers that are not reputable yet, try asking for more information about the seller and his contacts, rather than just the shirt itself.

but in europe, they more prefer PUĀ  sweat.gif

i think that is a false generalization, i believe ppl anywhere in the world would prefer something as close as possible to players' wear. Kitbag/UD just use the PU type probably because its easier to print (they print hundreds of EPL shirt a day, no time to arrange loose letters) and normal fans who arent particular about this or didn't know about such difference couldnt care less. i think non jersey collectors like us in Malaysia and anywhere in Asia also dun care PU or Lextra if they are not aware of such difference...they will continue to think that players also use PU.

well EPL in PU are also available loose in the UK, as they do customised names as well.  I am not really sure why the EPL chose to go for PU replica and non-PU player sized, it used to be even confusing last time, with PU/non-PU replica and non-PU player sized! But I am quite certain it's some sort of market demand as well, for PU replica (not sure of why the demand though).

the other interesting thing to note is that I did go for a stadium tour last time, and during visits to the dressing rooms, the guide did say that the megastore used PU as it's more lasting as compared to non-PU.  I didn't really want to correct him there and then, I'm sure he has his reasons to state that (maybe commercial, avoid misunderstanding, etc etc).  FYI the 'kits' in the dressing rooms are also the normal ones, and not the actual ones as worn by players during matches.  laugh.gif
*
oh yea, din think of that laugh.gif but so far the few PU type BPL letters that ive seen in ebay are pre-arranged ones. the only reason i could think of is probably price wise, PU are cheaper. so for Kitbag/UD their profit margin is larger compared to their counterparts who sell Lextra NNS for the same price.
