with such a low rez, I say don't bother to try. I previously bought an i-glasses svga (800x600) 3D version HMD. Although the virtual size mention is something like 70" from 10 feet, but it doesn't feel like watching 70" screen. It's more like watching PSP screen from 6". The reason I return is due to a problem on the left eye screen that have very bad colour distortion. If it work, the 3D is quite good (both left eye and left eye see different image). As there is 30 days trial, I ask for second unit as first unit is faulty. They send me a second unit without returning the first unit. Second unit have another problem where left and right screen focus is slightly out. In the end, I return both unit and get full refund.
My advice is if you really want to try out HMD, get at least svga model. If you can get 3d version even better. I'm holding out until someone come with a model with at least 60 degrees viewing angle and support 720p with 3d stereoscopic. Previously there is a potential unit from tdvisor but they have on hold their plan to release.
Currently the best unit to consider and quite reasonable price is headplay (USD 400). Check out at www.headplay.com.
There's also idea diy your own hmd using pico projector. Been waiting for a mature hmd for 10 years. Anyone still remember VFX-1?
