Yeah finally manage to catch up with the thread..its been a while i didnt follow this fast moving thread since ive lost my phone last year..

Luckily i manage to saiko my fiancee to get this phone when we bought together last year. Then last month her phone become crazy   i did post my problem in V21. Its was touch screen problem send for warranty ngam ngam 1 year under CSL they change the whole touch screen for me in 1 week 

Now i manage to get my hand back with this wonder tubez and its just came up V40 with KS, Slide to answer call and the alarm bug has gone.
Love it! and to XM u done a great job!

where did u send? i send to glenmarie and u need constantly call them asking what the status...for me their deliver good service 

No wonder la..better go to thier HQ they have their Cust. Service to entertain you..at first i also go to pyramid but then the technician on holiday..and that guys oso like malas to layan me oni..so better i go to HQ where my phone is safe and will be repaired.

i'm not sure leh... just foud out at their official page saying the BJ Kompleks (Penang) near my area have their official branch...

remove memory card, dont put inside .. refer front page on WSOD - White Screen Of Death

  malas mau type liao....

1. u needed active 3g internet setting... (make sure it work 1st)
2. go to menu > apps > LOCATIONS
3. inside LOCATIONS select Positioning Method
4. Click on A-GPS and ENABLE it
5. Click on NETWORK and ENABLE it
6. then go back to LOCATIONS
7. then select GPS Status

now u can see the area near ur ATTENNA ada itu bi-direction bar and with wording "E".. it mean ur phone connecting to the 3G internet
go to menu > LOGS and view your logs detail for all connections...

here, i got this now within 6 seconds ... from my room 

ap set also have same hardware mah... itu gps chip bodoh one lah...

AHHHHH... i remember liao....

please check the SUPL server setting.... it is under the menu > apps > LOCATIONS punya server setting i think... make sure the server u set it to "supl.nokia.com"  EXACTLY without any http:// or www 

Hello Tubians!

I just received back my 5800 from NCC today. Apparently, they did not update my firmware to v40.0.005. It's still v31.0.101.

The reason they gave we was, the firmware was NOT recommended for Nokia 5800 users. It's because due to the light that remains on when you plug in the charging power cord.

So to all v40 users, how's the firmware so far?

hehehe... some secret about "that" server.. i've changed to "supl.google.com" the data downloaded more "quality" and accurate compare to the nokia one... but something funny if u enable the a-gps and run the ovi maps it will crash the ovi maps and phone will restart... tapi jika u use the LOCATIONS to get the a-gps data first then disable the a-gps afterward and start the ovi maps then the ovi maps will able to use that data for navigation... hehehe can see another monopoly issue here ohh ... 

Good so far .. light prob not a issue for me since i wont charge overnite, i'll get my fone charged b4 i go bed. other than tat all fine except waiting time to hack back
