This is indeed a very fast moving thread.

Have updated latest ovi map into my phone. As for POIs, ok la.. not too bad. Even took it for a spin to a place nearby my house. But need more extensive testing later on. Bravo to Nokia for making ovi maps navigation free for life.

However, POI still lose out to Garmin XT's MFM maps... those fellas are really updated

a hrad reset wont do any harm to the phone right? will the v40 firmware still be there? and can i do a hard reset without memory card and sim card? help plz urgent. thnx in advance.

1. Force plug out the battery
2. take out the memory card and leave for 2 - 3 minute
3. Plug in back memory card and battery
4. Start ure fone
5. Do backup thru Nokia's standard file manager (backup only contacts and messages) dont choose all.
6. Hard reset ure phone
7. Immediately restore ure backup using the same way at up.
8. Done!

ok ill try and see. but there is something wrong with the nokia backup apps i think. i backup 2nd time, same problem, stuck at the processing model-specific backup. anyway thnx

GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\System\mobilesearch" (Delete entire folder)
GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f875a\startup" (Delete files!)
GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f875a\tasks" (Delete all file!)
GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f6efa\" (Delete all files!)
GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\102072c4\" (Delete all files!)
GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f8857\Cache\CData\" (Delete all files !)

Finally ..
1. Close all applications running in the background
2. Delete the contents of C:\System\cache
3. Delete the contents of C:\System\dmgr
4. Delete the contents of C:\System\temp

See the difference

already done all that before this...only gained about 10 mb plus..

OVI maps cannot install in memory card..

i install all apps in memory card .. i left only 23MB

Hoho i still have 61mb before install ovi maps. Now just waiting for rompatcher, i have lots of things to do with it... especially vodafone HS =.=

no phone memory, my SDHC have 6.7GB more

after updating to v40 i soft reset (should reset T.T my rompatcher gone..) and install back my mostly used apps only, didn't install java runtime. Got what use java? i never installed b4 leh
