guys, i just tested my cousin's EVO.. she works in US and coming back to Malaysia for family wedding..
* for me the screen is not as nice as my Nexus One eventhough it feel easier in terms of response sensitivity
* the size for me is just nice although i feel this is the largest size a mobile phone should be.
* i couldnt test the 3G connectivity bcoz it's not supported here.
* and for me the lack of trackball / optical trackpad is a downside because i used to using it a lot in messaging and surfing. the on screen directional keypad is a bit slow for first timer like me.
* the stand is really really nice thing to have! wish all this so called smartphone can have that too!
and i forgot to test out the camera / mp3 playback haha.. kinda bz with the wedding.. anyway IMO if it ever comes in GSM version, it will be great, but i doubt it will be better than Desire / Nexus One for everyone.
and i still rate my Nexus One higher than it..
anyway... for me.. a smartphone can never replace a real notebook / netbook and vice versa.
people keep saying when a device has big screen, it can replace ur netbook.. but the reality is, if u r at home, or if u have a netbook in front of u, will u still surf / chatting thru ur smartphone?
and people keep saying netbook is so portable but do u see people carrying them everywhere they go? no.
so while having an EVO is great, for me the thinking of it can replace a netbook is not right.
