Hey guys, so far is there alot of updates for Vivaz? and does it improve the phone's feature?

I'm facing some problem to buy this phone because some ppl recommend me to stay away from buying this phone
because they say SE gave up Symbian market...
So is this phone so buggy that still need frequent update to fix the problem?

So far is there any good updates that made the phone better?

The last update, R2EA023 fixes most of the bugs.

If you want a full qwerty HD phone, I dont think there's any phone that comes close, at this price range (800-1000)

Been using it for 3 weeks plus. No major problems.

i never had any problem with my Vivaz.. never crash/hang..
i think the current firmware is good enough..
my only complaint is.. it needs kinetic scrolling.
kinetic makes scrolling through contact list much easier..

I see... because those ppl recommend me go for nokia X6 for its carl zeiss and capacitive touch, since this phone is now better with the latest firmware
then Seems like I'm going to be member of this group soon biggrin.gif

The X6, many ppl complaint of its lagginess. And the carl zeiss, its mostly over-hyped marketing.

Furthermore, the vivaz pro, has a slide out qwerty brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

Btw I aim for vivaz without the pro due to its cheaper price biggrin.gif
Vivaz camera quality is better than X6 then? in term of photo shooting...

And 1 more thing i heard the issue of Vivaz that unable to lock the screen during a call, is this a serious issue for the phone?
I mean like.... will the unlocked screen become annoying during a phone call?

Vivaz have higher processor, but in fact cant clock to the highest speed (based on some review), so should be on par with 434mHz.
In term of RAM, yes, Vivaz better, 256 > 128 from x6

How about the camera shooting quality? i heard carl zeis is good but is it better than vivaz pro?

The picture quality on the Vivaz Pro is better than the Carl Zeis on the X6.

Guys, does the sound loudness improved for Vivaz Pro compared to Vivaz?
the sensitivity of the screen improved too?
And does Vivaz screen is scratch-resistant?

Any suggestion for good headset with ear buds for Vivaz?

Should be the same. Download the Equalizer app to enhance the sound quality
Again, it should be the same. The only major difference is the qwerty keypad and 5mp cam on the Vivaz Pro
Yes, it is scratch resistant, but always put on a screen protector as a precaution
I'm currently using a set of Creative EP-630, very balanced  thumbup.gif

Hope that helps.

By the way... what means with OEM sweat.gif

I've installed Ferrari GT Evolution (64MB  doh.gif ), Rally Master Pro (17MB. Had to install it manually since surprisingly mine did not come with it) and Need For Speed Shift (81MB  rclxub.gif ). So far I cannot run the NFS. I think something went wrong during installation or perhaps not enough memory.  unsure.gif

This is why I say the method you mentioned earlier is very mafan. Imagine having to send 17MB mail for them to sign it for you and then download it to install...  blink.gif

Using SISContents in this case is much better and faster.

I also transitioned from K810 and I'm also a little lost with Symbian when I got this phone.  biggrin.gif
