QUOTE(daxvilo @ Sep 4 2010, 04:44 PM) Nope, Vivaz won't get to upgrade to Symbian^3 because Symbian^3 is solely for Capacitive screen phones, Symbian might backport features from Symbian^3 into Symbian^2 for resistive screen...and high chances are None of Symbian^1 phones are going to get an upgrade :S |

QUOTE(zero5177 @ Jan 21 2011, 03:00 PM) Symbian's app control is based on the signature on the app. (Just like how Apple approve apps on App Store). Some apps are cracked or still in developing stage or whatsoever and is obviously not approved by Nokia. Hence, you will have to get a Cert & Key and sign the app yourself. The Cert & Key you get are Developer Keys. App developer uses the same type of Cert & Key while developing apps Hope this clarify. QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Jan 20 2011, 03:10 PM) Bro, you can't share this type of file. It's illegal and you might get ban if Mod sees it.Please remove it. |

QUOTE(dupicalz @ May 23 2011, 01:23 PM) is there any way that i could use and haf the whatsapp in my background and not have it suck my battery dry? No way. Whatsapp on Symbian does not allow you to shut your 3G connection. Only method to not have it drain that much of battery is to delete all your 2G/3G, every internet connection you have except wifi.does anyone else uses whatsapp here? |

QUOTE(dupicalz @ May 25 2011, 11:16 AM) so its normal for such that my battery drains out very fast. No. It's the app that's causing the battery drain. No phone can withstand a continuos active data connection. Either, delete the app or delete all data connection settings.thn it can be concluded tat vivaz battery life isnt gud...no? |

QUOTE(dupicalz @ May 25 2011, 02:42 PM) the weird thing is that my fren is using nokia 5530, hers can tahan till the end of the day ler..contrary to my phone le...half day pun tak sampai if i continue chatting on whatsapp, it can last for almost a day if its in the background and im not chatting at all. With whatsapp and continuous connected to 3G internet? I don't think so. Cause I have tested on 5530, E90, E5 and N8 and nope, all battery drain off super fast when running Whatsapp with running connection. It's not your battery problem. Whatsapp is probably better be left to used on iOS devices. I'm not sure how's the Android version working though. |
