haha yeah its symbian^3. thanks for the correction.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Nope, Vivaz won't get to upgrade to Symbian^3 because Symbian^3 is solely for Capacitive screen phones, Symbian might backport features from Symbian^3 into Symbian^2 for resistive screen...and high chances are None of Symbian^1 phones are going to get an upgrade :S

Guys,

Do you guys have any idea where can I get this type of case for Vivaz?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Hard-Back-Cover-Case-S...9#ht_2912wt_911

Hmm, what I'm using now is the rubber one. I'm happy with it but I still want to try something new, colourful and unique.

Can someone suggest me? Thx.  rclxub.gif

Hard reset if that actually exist in SE phones. Try removing your battery and restarting again first if still cannot. Remove your memory card and boot again if still cannot, Hard Reset (if applicable) laugh.gif

Can I ask a simple question... what is the Signing about?  sweat.gif
*
Symbian's app control is based on the signature on the app. (Just like how Apple approve apps on App Store).
Some apps are cracked or still in developing stage or whatsoever and is obviously not approved by Nokia.
Hence, you will have to get a Cert & Key and sign the app yourself. The Cert & Key you get are Developer Keys. smile.gif
App developer uses the same type of Cert & Key while developing apps smile.gif
Hope this clarify.

Bro, you can't share this type of file. It's illegal and you might get ban if Mod sees it.
Please remove it. smile.gif

I've had my vivaz for quite some time.
and dropped it on the floor for several time too T_T

now, im having whatsapp running on the background.

my handphone's battery dies off after 5-7 hours its on once fully charged.

i dunno if its due to it dropping a few times or whatsapp is running in the background or my battery sucks. its an ap set though, mayb the battery is not a good one?  unsure.gif

Whatsapp is causing the problem because it constantly link to the internet. smile.gif

is there any way that i could use and haf the whatsapp in my background and not have it suck my battery dry?

does anyone else uses whatsapp here?
*
No way. Whatsapp on Symbian does not allow you to shut your 3G connection. Only method to not have it drain that much of battery is to delete all your 2G/3G, every internet connection you have except wifi.

so its normal for such that my battery drains out very fast.
thn it can be concluded tat vivaz battery life isnt gud...no?
*
No. It's the app that's causing the battery drain. No phone can withstand a continuos active data connection. Either, delete the app or delete all data connection settings.

the weird thing is that my fren is using nokia 5530, hers can tahan till the end of the day ler..contrary to my phone le...half day pun tak sampai if i continue chatting on whatsapp, it can last for almost a day if its in the background and im not chatting at all.

With whatsapp and continuous connected to 3G internet? I don't think so. Cause I have tested on 5530, E90, E5 and N8 and nope, all battery drain off super fast when running Whatsapp with running connection. It's not your battery problem. Whatsapp is probably better be left to used on iOS devices. I'm not sure how's the Android version working though.
