Yesterday I checked for new firmnware update..so far no new one release...haizz..hope they settle the video cam bug esp op-ening multiple background programmes.

BTW, just to highlight some of the camera function that Nokia symbian based don't have...(Suprisingly although same symbian but the canmera, video & music player (Although cacat than Nokia haha)...so much different!

What this Vivaz capable of (Hopefully is correct bcos I dun hv my 5800 rite now to compare blush.gif ):

1) Switch sound off button (Nokia u need 3rd party dl)..Vivaz already having this
2) Auto Panorama on the spot - cool..Even Lumix dun have this as well as lotsa Digicam!!
3) On/Off LED.. can act as a torchlite bcos current 3rd party torchlite not working! - Nokia dun hv this function
4) White balance adjustnment
5) Photo size - 2mp (Wide 16:9 or 4:3), 3mp (Wide 16:9 or 4:3), 6mp (wide 16:9) (Wide 16:9 or 4:3), 7mp (3:2) & 8.1mp (4:3)
6) Image stabilizer & Effect - sephia, negative & etc
7) Smile detector & also touch focus...

And for sure the awesome camera that actually pawned one of the best point & shot camera in the market (Panasonic Lumix!!)....Well probably Satio too as it's 12MP anyway..haha

Wait-lah for someone to reply to your post in Travel & Living..I can't comment now bcos I can't remember how I did it last time..too long liao...since my last visit to Genting...For me it's a lousy place for relaxing..headarche wth all the noisy theme park & etc..

Cameron Highland & even Fraser Hill (Although boring) should be a better place for testing Vivaz

Well the format is not those TZ7 AVCHD format which helps in reducing the file size but not the quality..it's in mp4 almost similar to my TZ15 too..thus really take up lotsa space...Well, the best trf to PC after testing...Anyway 8GB is more than enough unless u wanna take >30min of videocam

There is a seperate AP Vs ori thread.

For a short, AP & original is the same except:

1) the warranty by a reputable company Vs warranty from dunno which Ah Beng co - Pls take note hor..some AP even extend warranty to 18mths but some cases of during waranty claim, the company deny the warranty..

2) Certain AP phone..esp those launched long time ago...Those Ap guys took out the best parts & replaced wth recon parts!! & sell a new AP phone! (this I can't confirm - was told by hp sellers)

Probably I hit jackpot liao..on spot of Vivaz 720mhz processor..Well as we know, all websites & even SE official website sun really tell us the specs of this processor...well I 90% sure it is Texas Instrument OMAP 3530 Arm Cortex A8 CPU embedded with PowerVr SGX GPU liao rclxm9.gif

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beagle_Board

Check the spec esp same GPU...Must be this...not bad..bcos I heard how powderfull this processor.. biggrin.gif

QUOTE
The OMAP3530 includes an ARM Cortex-A8 CPU (which can run Windows CE, Linux or Symbian), a TMS320C64x+ DSP for accelerated video and audio decoding, and an Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX530 GPU to provide accelerated 2D and 3D rendering that supports OpenGL ES 2.0.

Ehhhh Satio actually using the older Omap wor..read this from what I found discussing on Overclocking Satio from 600Mhz to 1Ghz:

QUOTE
It probably is possible, but why would you want to? Doing so will deplete the mediocre battery faster and make the phone even more unstable! Plus Symbian^1 does not really use an OMAP 3430 to its optimum. I.e Graphics Accelerator is not used at all and messages are so clunky that the speed increase will not make a real difference. I believe only Symbian^3 + will make use of the Cortex A8 and Graphics enabler. But porting that is another story....

The Vivaz uses a OMAP 3630 whereas a Satio uses a OMAP 3430 which explains the speed increase

I can't post the forum link bcos I think this is a warez forum haha

BTW, The actual reference on Vivaz TI Omap 3630 can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_OMAP

The older Satio OMAP 3430 is not HD ready & thus no HD video capability. Only OMAP >3530 capable of HD video.
