hi,i have a wii and a 24 lcd monitor but my monitor does only have vga,dvi-d,and hdmi...so i'm using the hdmi for my xbox and the vga for my computer..i think i need to buy dvi cable for my computer and use vga on wii...

so my question is...

1. anybody know where is the cheapest composite to vga converter??

2. how about the sound??does vga carries sound i think not...so what is the solution??

3. which is better for wii??vga or dvi-d..because i think vga's resolution is good enough for wii....

Honestly, if you are on budget might as well get a 21" CRT with component input rather than wasting money buying terrible converters. If you insist on getting hook up to your monitor you can try HD Box Pro, I think there are shops carrying them locally (like SCE in BTS). Alternatively you can buy that from www.hdboxpro.com. There's one catch though, HD Box Pro only accepts component signals so you have to get a component cable for the Wii, which is worth every penny.

Because it doesn't convert signal.

Yes you can with this cable, but different people have different outcome from that cable. For me it's terrible and sold it, my friend's got sync problem, but there are also some who are happy with it. The choice is yours really.

I did, but as I said sold it since it couldn't perform. I'm currently connecting straight to my TV with component cable. Getting a scaler called "Videon Omega HDP" planning to use it to display on monitor, but it's currently withheld by kastam in Sepang dry.gif Planning to get a more modern scaler to that includes HDMI output, but the price is still seriously disturbing, USD800...

Im using vdigi cable all the time.
Maybe some have errors with it like mr gundam mentioned (CONGRATS on ur Wedding btw)

The first day i got my wii
i was using my monitor adi via tvbox.
The quality image sux to the max (its abnormal)
You see a layer before the actual display =.=

Then on that week itself
I was lucky to find a vdigi cable second hand from a seller in lyn.
And bought it , also using it since 1 year ago plus
Clear pretty good , no issue from me.

Anyway my setup is 22inch HP Lcd monitor smile.gif

If it was sent using PosLaju, just call them and appoint them as agent. Of course, you'll need to fork out more money to clear, but then if you already put a lot of money into it, might as well just pay the remaining and finish it.

Belated Congrats on your wedding bro.

Personally, tho, I'm using the AVerMedia STB1080i connected to TV VGA port because I just needed another set of inputs (as said on HT forum it was originally meant for the Astro byond but in the end byond doesn't output HD in component -.-). Lag is acceptable, quite small can can easily learn to adjust. Currently using PS2 to output component to the box which convert signal to VGA RGB for TV tongue.gif Sumore it gives you ability to receive RTMi if you're in the Klang Valley. Only catch: dun use PAL HD consoles with it. Doesn't support 50Hz input in 720p and 1080i mode.
