Yes, go Myanmar now before it opens up and the tourist hordes start arriving! smile.gif

A most enlightening country, here are our impressions:

http://m.naim.my/the-market-at-nyaung-u/ -- Bagan: The Market at Nyaung U

We also spent time in Mandalay and Yangon, but haven't gotten down to writing about them in the above blog ... been slacking! smile.gif

Hey, are there any recommended tourist agency in myanmar?

We used Myanmar Tourex early last year -- satisfied with service. Google for it.

Anyone of you actually entered Myanmar using visa on arrival? Just wondering how reliable is their visa on arrival.
*
If you can apply for visa here better do so. From my experience using VOA (in other countries, not Myanmar), main prob is the queue. The process can be slow, so if crowd is large, you gotta wait. And check the process -- forms to fill up, mugshots to be attached, etc. Something not right, more waiting.

where to change clean, crisp, new USD? i heard the myanmar ppl so fussy about USD! what the heck is wrong with them. money is still money what
*
When you change at moneychanger just ask for new ones. The ppl in Burma are fussy because of many fake notes. Everywhere you travel nowadays ppl always careful if they receive USD notes. Same with big Indian rupee notes.
