QUOTE(titanz @ Oct 12 2015, 08:47 AM) Are you travelling alone? Yesterday when I was checking out the flight tickets, it was around RM458 for round trip. Today it's RM286!!! This post has been edited by ken_zie: Oct 12 2015, 09:14 PM |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Oct 22 2015, 09:58 AM) Next year 24 april - 5 may (11 days). I hope I can survive the heat. Planning to visit the big 4 - Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. However, I want to experience the Gokteik Viaduct train ride too. Not sure if I'll have enough time. Will be flying into and leaving from Yangon. Should I travel all the way down to Hsipaw on the first day? This post has been edited by ken_zie: Oct 22 2015, 03:38 PM |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Oct 22 2015, 03:51 PM) Why May? It'll be difficult for me to take 2 weeks leave at the end or beginning of the year. Trying to avoid the raining season. I have yet to work out on the exact itinerary. Are you travelling solo?Actually I was planning maybe in late November - December, haven't bought the flight tix yet so I'm flexible Hmm, my iti is for 16 days and it's something like this Yangon - Bagan - Mandalay - Sagaing - Mingun - Pyin oo lwin - <train bypassing Goktheik to> - Hsipaw - Kalaw - trek to - Inle - Kyaiktiyo - Yangon This post has been edited by ken_zie: Oct 22 2015, 08:08 PM |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Oct 22 2015, 08:21 PM) Well, I've been planning it but not sure whether I wanna do it this year or next year. If next year, it has to be in the cool season, because I want to do the Kalaw - Inle trek Damn!!! That's gonna be an interesting trek. Yup, solo. Don't mind tagging along though At first I'm not very sure to go or not as I'm not so sure with Myanmar. But then the wanderlust just kicked in and stumbled upon cheap tickets. Previously, I travelled solo the easy way where I only stayed in one place. Eg: Jogja/Siem Reap. So, this trip really need to plan carefully especially with the transport and travel time. As many mentioned of the bus/train being late and so on. Will need to read and google more soon! |

QUOTE(cradle0fFilth @ Oct 22 2015, 10:56 PM) hi guys, Yup, I read about that too. However, the real one should be this: http://evisa.moip.gov.mm/read a blog which someone commented this website is a scam. http://www.visasmyanmar.com/ had anyone applied visa through this site before? i m planning to backpack myanmar 24th dec - 4th Jan But on previous page, there's a forummer who said that e-visa is no longer usable. But from what I see is the official website still accepting tourist e-visa application. Maybe you can reconfirm with the embassy? |

Anyone ever been in Myanmar around early to mid March? Just wanted to know if the weather is starting to be really hot at that time. Airasia now have direct flight from Yangon which will be very convenient for me.

Is € widely accepted as USD in Myanmar? Airasia tickets in December before Christmas seems quite cheap. RM240 round trip. Hmm.... a bit tempted to go.
