inle lake or bagan off cause nice but it is far away from Yangon. I think maybe need to take about 7 hours by car. If you want to know more of Myanmar you can try to join those Myanmar backpack group in FB. They are so many travellers out there. They might give you a helping hand

Hi guys, just back from Myanmar yesterday night. I spend 8 days in Myanmar. The area i visited was 14-16 (Hpa-An), 16-17(Golden Rock) & 17-21 (Yangon).
We are all in 8 pax. We hired Mr Zaw Hein as our tour guide. He is good in english & able to explain the cultural of Myanmar. I will honestly suggest him as a tour guide for rural area like Hpa-An, Bago, Pegu, Thanlyin etc, but not in Yangon city. This is because in Yangon it is easy to get transport.
Hpa-An is famous with its Caves. We visited few caves there, including Shan Cave (Cave which later need to come out with small boat under the cave), Bayin Nyi Cave (Cave with Hot spring), YathaePyan Cave (Cave with a big lake at the back) & Kaw Goon Cave (Cave with Temple 7 AD (century)- it is a must go cave). We spend 2days 2 nights at Hpa-An(We reach Hpa-An around 10.30am local time). On 16.12.2017 we went to Golden Rock. On the way we turn into Bago (an old capital for Myanmar). We visit the palace of those famous emperor (but need to buy tickets - around 20,000 kyat). We stop at Pegu for fisherman house visit. Lastly on 16 we went up to Golden Rock. It is a must visit place of Myanmar. Experience the scary rollercoaster truck. On 17 we went to yangon. Yangon is a big city. The population around 5 to 6 million. The problem of Yangon is the traffic.
If you guys want you can contact Mr Zaw Hein @ 09-5039504 (please add the country code before then follow the number)
