Mohinga are best gila. BBQ street at Yangon are ok; Taste not the best but environment are good.
999 Shan Noodle Shop are excellent.

Myanmar people are good in noodle dish.

Myammar give me most headeace was USD.
They only accept new usd bill. One lipat, one dot of dirty they reject.

I go Myammar, I take care usd more than i take care my belonging. All usd i put inside a bubblewrap type letter.

Never nwver put ur usd inside wallet.

ALL USD must in pristine condition. make sure all US Dollar have blue stripe.
All USD that Pre 2006 (Serial Number CB) will rejected no matter how good was it.

You already lipat ur dollar.... now you got 50 / 50 chances only.


Myammar was good country but the money really headache!!!
When Myammar people change balance kyat noted back to you during taxi ride or shopping or eating.
Make sure those Kyat currency note was in good condition. I kena once koyak one...and Myammar people no accept it.....wtf....rugi!!!


When you leaving the country...U have to change back all Kyat to USD at Airport. Make sure all your Kyat was good condition.....if not...you GG !!! Can bring those kyat back to Malaysia jadi toilet paper.


Just take care your currency note like you take care your car / wife / GF

I taking new bus company called Elite Express. All brand new scania bus. I booked ticket through those travel agency company at Yangon.

Night bus have 3 type , sleeper or normal or Vip
I taking normal type, also very comfortable and every seat have power socket and mini LED entertainment screen.
Complimentary drink and snack. blanket.

You sure want to fly domestic inside Yangon? It will cost you 300 USD 2 way ticket to Bagan.

For me it doest worth it.

Btw, Gaeria84 blog will help you alot.

For me not worth. Becasue Express bus at Myammar are comfortable specially JJ Express & Elite Express
Even one way flight also cost 200 USD.

Find those Chinese travel agency. they can get very cheap ticket compare to Internet.

Flying are very expensive in Mymmar, train also very expensive.
Some people cannot take long journey bus due to motion sickness. No choice , have to flight.
Actually consider cheap if compare buy at airline website it self.

If Air Bagan buy through website, one way need 230 USD already. 2 way ticket minimum 500USD

One important note here:
Make sure all your USD Dollar are new , no damage , Perfect condition note.
Never ever ever ever fold your USD in your wallet. Any USD has been fold, center have folding line, 70% they won't accept

ALL USD note older than 2008 won't be accept.

When you change your money in Malaysia to USD. make sure you get the New USD without any damage one.
When you reach Myanmar, Money Changer over there only accept new USD. Hotel Reception for Room deposit also new usd.
Myanmar people are very strictly to New and perfect condition USD only.

My story was this way, I change 700 USD at Malaysia. 500 USD I put in wallet, (standard wallet) Fold up type. Another 200 USD I put inside Envelop as emergency backup. When I reach Yangon Airport money charger, All my 500 USD in wallet cannot be accepted due to hold up, A line on center of USD.
Lucky I still got that 200 USD perfect condition inside envelop.

My 7 days trip to Myanmar with 700 USD should be luxury style....End up become 200 USD backpacker style....

One more thing was when you received Kyat, make sure your kyat are good condition also.
I faced once during paying bill with kyat, because some of the kyat are badly condition, they not accept it. When coming back to Malaysia, those bad condition kyat also not been accepted by money charger. End up I back to Malaysia with few 1000 and 5000 bad condition kyat

Those money changer in Yangon, they very strictly to foreigners Money. it have to be perfect condition like newly printed out from factory.

Myammar car are funny.
Driving on Right lane but car steering was on left (Same as Malaysia)
Passenger sitting at front next to Driver(Right Side) getting down from car are extremely dangerous!!! due to driving on right lane
Bus are most dangerous! Getting down may hit by car!!

But recently Myammar Govt bringing new proper bus, doors on left and driver on right side.

New Generation car will be same as US. Left side Steering already. If u plan to rent car at Myanmar, you need IDP

If you taking Cab, New Generation Cab will be Left Steering & Passenger sit on Right side, So get down from car more safe. But Yangon still got alot old generation car which as I stated. You as passenger will sitting on Left side, everytime you get down from car will be extremely dangerous..
