Dude, if you're dedicated, it'll never be boring. Training particular body part (split training) is better than whole body workouts. That's the only way each body part could get enough stimulus each time to grow.

Split training for more intensity so that muscles can grow. If you don't train hard enough, you're not going to gain mass.

how long have you been training and what is your specific goal?

Whole body training is great for beginners but when you're more advance and stuck at a plateau, you'd need to go do accessories and focus on strengthening your weakest link.

Most people who start can go on a linear program for 2-3 years before they need to specialize.

Asalkan engko getting stronger and lifting heavier, full body or split training will work.

Later when you know more about training, then you can move on to whatever type of training you like.
Body part split, upper lower split, pus-pull-lower body split, anti-gravity split, zero body split, banana split, etc...
=P

LOL!
I was just fooling around with you. Hah hah! =D

Generally body part splits will have 1-2 compound movement and more isolation movements.

Upper lower splits would have more compound movements and maybe a few isolation movements.

Banana split would have Pavlovian reaction & peristalsis movement! X^D
