Am I right that we can claim income tax rebate from the unit trust fund dividend payout? Which figure to fill in the income tax form?
I never aware of it only until recently.

Heheh - U want to claim income tax rebate from dividends of Public Mutual funds?

I thought the single-tier tax on dividends that stocks payout (thus to PM holding the stocks, and thus to U) are already taxed at Company level and public cant get back that $ even though their tax rate is lower.

My bad if U are talking about bond funds. Itu binatang lain, no idea on tax schemes.

Recently P Small Caps and P Islamic Opportunites doing badly. For those who pump in substaintial amount of money when P Small Caps reopen for subsription in short period, lost big time.

3 options:-
a) Stay
b) switch
c) sell (not advisable as it will realize your lost immediately, i.e. sale charge of 5.5%+ difference in fund price)

It is not possible to pump now. Might as well pump into funds like PEF, PGF

Think long term, there will always be up and down, this is just a small dip. If you can't sleep at night, sell down until you can sleep.

true enough.....i have been investing in Small cap since it was launched in day 1, gone thru the ups and downs....
if cant sleep after investing, better switch to more stable funds like the fixed income or bond.

PSmallCap.. Hold.. It will recover.. Don't sell them yet. It is volatile in SmallCap, but whenever he goes down, he know how to climb back up.

PEF, invest.. stage by stage. Sentiments are good.

PIF, pump.. This fund linked to KLCI performance. Year end forecast KLCI break 1600.

Now a lot of bank merge merge merge.. When bank merge, can hold KLCI or charge KLCI to another high level. Look at hongleong, from RM9 to RM13, contributing so much to KLCI.

Then, we got CIMB vs Maybank for RHB also. Sure another round for KLCI to hike.

Next up, we got Genting and all the related Genting brother and sister. Genting Singapore -> World 2nd largest casino.. I dunno how it will affect Genting singapore, but will definitely had an impact on Genting Bhd.
Forecasted Genting will go to RM15, that time KLCI sure hoh liau.

Next on.. CPO maintain above RM3,200.. So got plantation heavyweight like KLK, IOI, all help to charge.

If index go to 1650, PIF confirm doing good. That time sell them away if want to take profit. Look at how market perform that time.. Only decide. Maybe can go for bond fund if undecided.

so buy if you can, when you can and most importantly, DCA (some ppl might not agree with this )

My average price for PFES is way below 0.2000. For me to top up into this fund seems like not a worth.
