I would like to be pre-informed if a mass of Malaysians are stumbling around Akihabara while chatting at the top of their lungs fumbling over their Japanese and over animu products

We shall all go to maid cafe as one big crew.

Though I suggest we keep anything related to Akihabara for the last day or so.

QUOTE(Myclamyra @ Feb 1 2010, 01:03 AM)
With the short trip duration, the proposal thus far include
1. Summer Wonfes (either July 25 or Aug 1, 2010) + Tokyo fireworks (31 Jul)
2. Tokyo Game Show (17-19 Sep in 2010) + Reitaisai at Kamakura (shooting arrows on horseback) (14-16 Sep)

Definitely #1 is enticing cause it will fit the bill of doing something anime related and wearing yukata for the fireworks.

FRI 23 JUL 2010 - KL->Tokyo
SAT 24 JUL 2010 - Tokyo basic
SUN 25 JUL 2010 - Wonfest (1st estimate base on previous year)
MON 26 Jul 2010 - Akihabara - survey
TUE 27 JUL 2010 - Tokyo ->Mt Fuji (via Kawaguchi-ko) -> Tokyo
WED 28 JUL 2010 - Odaiba
THU 29 JUL 2010 - Rest day
FRI 30 JUL 2010 - Go to any other parts of Tokyo - Meiji Shrine, Amakusa
SAT 31 JUL 2010 - Akihabara buying stuff festival - Tokyo river fireworks
SUN 01 AUG 2010 - Wonfest (2nd estimate base on previous year)
MON 02 AUG 2010 - Tokyo->KL

That's 9 nights stay... hmmm..... if only wonfest is on 01 Aug 2010...

Don't bother with #2

Tokyo Games Show is not really much of an event anyway. If you really want to go to a games convention, better alternative is to head for GamesCon in Germany

Alright, my uni confirmed a symposium in Tokyo University in November 2nd 2010 and I will take 4 week break in Japan in end of 2010. I will see you people there if any of you plan to go.

Oh yes, anyone want me to buy souvenirs from Japan, just contact me. I will pass Malaysia after Japan's trip to see my family for a while during Christmas 2010.

You've never brought cans of Spam to another country before?

Hell, even rations which you boil it in hot water and then eat contains meat.

Was fun running around Tokyo for 2 days.

And yeah, I'm living in Saitama, which makes me very reluctant to attend Comiket since the train fares are absurd.

As far as I know, Malaysia has never needed a visa since a few years ago.

However, it is still recommended to get a visa since whether or not you're allowed to enter Japan is up to the immigration officers.

My advice is still to get a visa. It's a better alternative to going there without one and getting deported.
