My 2 week Japan Trip budget log, which got truned into a mini travel log. Hoping to arrange photos based on this. This was not a budget/backpackers travel tho. There are ppl in the Japan travel thread who have gone there and back with less than half of what I used xD

Arrived early at LCCT KL at 11.15am. Counter not opened yet but attendant at another counter allowed me to check-in. 2 check-in bags full of Brahims curry and rice, instant noodles, soups and snacks. These are to be my breakfast and occasional dinners for the next 2 weeks as I spend my money on other more important stuff. Met up with EG, Setsuna, Jinn, Riku and Ultima before going in Departure Hall for 2.30pm flight. Got Optiontown 2 empty seats approved. Was raining heavily. Used umbrella to walk to plane, still got drenched. Pleasant flight. I bought 2 pre-booked meals. Asian meal was Thai green curry with rice. Vegetarian meal was vegetarian lasagna. Arrived Haneda Airport 10.15pm, 45mins earlier than expected 11pm arrival. Rode a bus from plane to terminal. Long lines at immigration. Went out for luggage pick up, long wait for checked in baggage. By the time I got luggage EG and Setsuna already passed immigration. Went ahead since I’m staying different place. No problems with customs. Bought a Tokyo Monorail ticket to Tokyo for 500yen (Weekend price). Arrived at Hamamatsucho (Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG staying nearby hotel overnight. Ultima staying at friend’s place) and transferred train headed for Tokyo station. Tired, so took taxi to hotel instead of walking 900m (810yen). Arrived at Smile Hotel Kamogawa Inn Nihonbashi (near Mitsukoshimae) around 1am. Shower and sleep.

Sets, Jinn, Riku, and EG checked out of Hotel and moved into the Apartment in Ningyocho around 10am. I walked from Hotel to the apartment (around 500m walk) meet up with them. We walked to Tokyo station (around 1.4km), passing by Hotel just to show where I’m staying. Sets, Jinn, Riku and me bought the 3 day Kanto pass (8000yen). Then we all got ourselves Suica cards. Price 2000yen with 1500yen credit. I topped up another 1000yen. We all went to Jump Festa in Makuhari Messe in Mihama. Lots of Anime and games stuff. Walked around all the 3 big halls. Met up with Ultima and Eidrag there. The producer of PSO2 Satoshi Sakai was manning the lines for their booth. Ultima etc got his autograph n took photos with him. Left exhibition hall and met up with Azam. Sat down to rest and drinks. Got Dr Pepper from vending machine for 120yen. We went to Akihabara afterwards. It was dark by the time we got there. Early sunset at 4.30pm since it’s winter. Met up with Ikmal at 6pm. He showed us around Akihabara and the shops around there. Walked around some more then all had dinner at Tempura Tendon Tenya. I ordered the 590yen Ebi tendon. Went to karaoke for first time. The place wasn’t ready for 9 people so had to wait. They all went to see the Volks Showroom next door and other stuff in that building. Me and EG went back to a shop with very cheap time sale winter jackets. I bought a 490yen blue jacket. Came back to Karaoke place around 6.45pm. Stayed for 2-2.30hours for 1800yen. All sang only Japanese anime/kamenhero songs. Fun experience. All went back afterwards. Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG and me came back to Ningyocho via Tokyo Metro (2 stops away from Akiba). I stopped by Sunkus convenience store to get a mechanical pencil for 105 yen (pen wasn’t working in the plane when I was trying to fill in customs form). Walked back to hotel.

Walked to apartment. All went to Akiba through Ningyocho station. Topped up 5000yen for Suica card. Met up with Ikmal, Ultima, and Eidrag in front of Sega around 11.15am. Walked around to see the shops at Akiba. Visited lots of Figure/Manga/Anime stores. Met Kevin and Wong. Visited an Anime art gallery. Some used traditional materials, some digital prints, all expensive. Separated into 2 groups for lunch. 1 group went Tenya, another went to eat ramen. I was still full from eating breakfast at hotel so continued to walk around. Everyone regrouped in front of Tenya after lunch. All went to Mandarake complex. 8 Floors of goodness. Too many stuff. Bought 4 Ika Musume trading figures for 1732yen. Continued walking around some others shops as Ikmal showed us where the good ones are. Done for the day. We went back to Ningyocho and stopped by an Aeon konbini. Sets making spaghetti meatballs for dinner. I bought an apple for 99yen. Went back to hotel and had dinner. Got a whatsapp message from Sets at 7.30pm if wanna go Ginza. Still early, thought was late since it got dark fast. Ultima etc at Roppongi. Met up at apartment again 8.15pm and went to Ginza to see xmas eve night life/lights. Feels everywhere. Took photos and videos. All went back.

Sets, Jinn, Riku and EG came by hotel around 10.15am. We walked to Tokyo station and took a train to Yokohama. We bought the 500yen Yokohama day pass to travel anywhere within that area. Change train to Minatomirai. In the station walking up stairs towards exit, super cold. Wind blowing. We walked towards the sea side past a ‘rumah sakit’ and Pacifico. Saw the giant wind mill and the bridge. Took photos/videos. Went into Queen’s Square Yokohama shopping mall to have lunch at McD. Ordered the Ebi Burger for 650yen. Very nice with whole prawns inside the patty. Walked around the shopping mall. There’s a Jump shop and a Pokemon Centre and miniture railway shop. We get lucky draw tickets for every 500yen worth of items we buy in the shopping mall. Everyone pooled together to get 10 tickets for 1 spin. Sets spun it, got a tissue. Went out of shopping mall to go see Nippon Maru, the first large Japanese sail ship, with engines and air compressors on display. Cosmo world Yokohama and Yokohama World Porters just across the bridge. Off to Chinatown. Lots of people around, and as expected on xmas day, lots of couples. Chinatown in Japan is like any other Chinatown, only cleaner and with more people lining up. Went off to a Yamashita Park seaside nearby. Saw the Hikawa Maru Yokohama ship. Built as a passenger ship for Yokohama-Seattle route. It was used as a hospital ship during the World War. Moored permanently in Yamashita Park in 1961. EG bought ice cream from a vending machine at the Port Walk Shop. Several performers there gathering crowds of (more) couples, juggling acts, comedy acts, etc. Saw our starting point across the bay about 3km away. Left Yokohama to go to Akiba, get Anisong concert tickets from Ikmal. Met up with Ulti, Eidrag and Ikmal at 6 in front of Sega. Split up for dinner, Went Tenya ordered different bowl for 500yen. Regrouped at Torano Ana around 8pm. Walked around and went back to Ningyocho and hotel.

9.50am Sets, Jinn, Riku and EG came by hotel and we walked to Tokyo station. Used the first day of the 3 day Kanto pass ticket to go to Kamakura to see the Giant Bronze Buddha and the location for Shinryaku Ika Musume. Stepped off at Kita-Kamakura station. Lots of highschool kids going about on their way to school. We may have gotten off the wrong station, but we got data and google maps. It was a good 3km of upwards walking and hiking through the small village and forest trails to get to Daibutsu. Bought a warm can of coffee from vending machine for 120yen. Took lots of nice photos of things we would otherwise not have seen. Frozen paddy fields, bamboo slopes, more school girls, Initial D style corners, excellent views of the town below and seas. And a damned crow harassing us all the way. Thought we were lost in the forest trail, so asked a guy who was from Scotland if we were headed the right way. Apparently we were. Tiring hike, legs gave way few times, but worth it. Paid 200yen entrance fee to enter the temple. Saw the giant bronze Buddha. Took group photos/vids. Identified some shots from Ika Musume season2 ep6 (Jyogingu shina ika?). Paid 80yen (20yen/person) to enter the statue. Bought souvenirs. Postcard 100yen, pair of chopsticks 400yen, prayer for success 400yen, accomplishment of ones wish 400yen, good health charm keychain 500yen. Went out to the small town and stopped by a kebab shop. Shop had a halal cert. The Moroccan guy who owns the shop has been here for 30 years. We had lunch there. I got the pita with garlic sauce for 500yen. Very good. The guy says we can see Mt Fuji and Enoshima from somewhere nearby in Inamuragasaki seaside. Bought an extra pair of leg warmers at the 105yen store next to Hase station. Took a short train ride Inamuragasaki station. The beach area is the setting where the Aizawa sisters’ Lemon beach house should be located. We couldn’t see Mt Fuji cause it was too cloudy, but we did see Enoshima. Took some nice photos of the sunset. It was dark by the time we left Kamakura, but still early so we went to Akiba. Split up go different stores. Me n Riku went to play UFO catchers. I tried getting a Miku plushie. Got it on the 10th try (500yen for 6 tries). Leftover 2 tries used on another machine. By then others were also there, Sets tried getting Sena bed cover (500yen for 3 tries) and Riku tried getting Yozora (2.1m by 1.1m large). Sets machine was rigged, can’t get it. Riku almost got it. I helped push it a bit.) Win. We went back Ningyocho and Hotel. Ultima etc at all night Karaoke until 5am.

8.15am Sets, Jinn and Riku came by hotel and we walked to Tokyo station to go see Mt Fuji. No Portable Wifi today; left at apartment with EG. Still early so they all had ramen at Tokyo station. I just bought Santori canned coffee from vending machine for 120yen. We took a train to Oitsuki and changed to Fujikyu commuter train to go to Kawaguchiko station. Can already see Mt Fuji from inside train passing by. Turned on data on phone and set to internet sharing. Sets accidentally used the wrong provider, got RM100+ usage sms for 3mb of data. Saw the Evangelion train on the way there on another track. Managed to get photos and videos of it. Arrived at Kawaguchiko station. Looked at some stuff at the station store while waiting for the bus. Paid back Riku for the Anisong concert ticket 5000yen. Took bus to Kawaguchi lake for 210yen. Dropped 100yen on bus, long queue, didn’t bother. Took a cable car up the Mt Kachi Kachi Ropeway to see Mt Fuji for 700yen (return). Apparently there’s a story about a Racoon and a Rabbit, hung in frames along the walls. Magnificent view of Mt Fuji, the town below, lakes and the surrounding areas. Took group photos, videos. There’s a bell hung in a heart shaped standing frame where couples are supposed to ring to stay together or singles can ring in hopes of finding a partner. Foreveralone.jpg photo. Bought 1920yen worth of souvenirs. Went back down to go onsen. Walked along Kawaguchi lake to the place. Stopped by a restaurant to have lunch. Had tempura lunch soba for 790yen. Jinn had curry rice, which doesn’t have enough meat in it. Sets went ahead and came back to report the place is closed to public today. So we go to another place. We walked along the lake while taking nice photos of the lake with Mt Fuji in the background. Crossed the bridge and into the town to go to the public bath house. Asked a kind lady for directions. Found it as the sun was setting. Building looks very traditional. Sets, Jinn and Riku went in the bath. I stayed at reception area, too tired to go in. There were a group of school kids there, presumably booked for the night. It was dark by the time we left. They said the bath was very good. It was a long track in the dark back to Kawaguchiko station. The bus service already stopped a while ago. Went back to Tokyo station through Shunjuku station and walked to hotel. Went up to room and picked up Brahim’s Briyani ayam, Kurma daging, Kari Daging, Ayam masak merah, and Rending ayam to pass to them for their dinner. Back to room and had dinner/sleep. Ultima went to Tokyo Skytree. EG went to Akiba

8.10am left hotel and walked to apartment to meet up with Sets, Jinn and Riku to go to Oarai. It’s the last day of the 3 day Kanto Pass. We went from Ningyocho station to Ueno and changed for the train heading towards Mito. Bought a can of coffee from the station platform store and saw the Girls and Panzer train pull up to the platform. This is the train we are taking to Oarai. Very lucky. Took pics/vids with the train. The train is decked out with characters from the anime and their tanks. Inside was similarly fashioned. With posters and stickers. Together with Zyl, we boarded the train and saw the Japanese countryside. Lots of paddy fields already harvested. Paid 310yen for the train ride. Oarai station was full of Garupan stuff, with posters and pictures of scenes from the anime framed and hanged along the walls. The station master was well aware of it and gave us a map to follow. A store in the station which was featured in the anime was also there, with a picture frame of the scene. I bought 5 keychains, Miho, Yukari, Hana, Saori and Mako for 2750yen. Opposite of the store is the station office, also full of Garupan stuff; pictures of the Seiyuu with the Garupan train, character sketches, scenes from the anime around Oarai, the tanks and their schematics, a nice miniature model of the train station with the tanks being pulled on miniature trains, Garupan memorabilia and products, etc. Was supposed to get the calendar but apparently there are only 5 and it’s based on a lucky draw. Went out of Oarai station towards town. Very nice old town with some of the building very old in design and probably structure. A Japanese guy called out to me about something, my Japanese isn’t very good so I called out of Sets. Arai san is a local guy about our age, and he’s also prepared to go to Comiket tomorrow. He agreed to show us around his hometown. Everywhere we go, the shops have Garupan posters pasted on their windows. We headed towards Oarai Marine Tower, identifying some locations from the anime. At the top of the tower, we could barely make out the cut-outs of the 5 characters standing besides the window. The tower was closed so we just took some pictures of it + group pics. We walked to the market and had lunch at the restaurant there. Arai san didn’t join us, but we changed phone numbers and said our goodbye, with the off chance of seeing him again at Comiket. Sets and Zyl had the famous Anko fish nabe (huge pot). I ordered a big tempura lunch don set for 1580yen. After the nabe was finished, the restaurant lady came by and cooked porridge in the pot and we all had a taste. Was very nice and very filling. Saw a box of Garupan Liquor at the register. Walked a bit past the market towards the port, then continued walking towards the location of the huge red Torii gate where the tanks drove past. Started to drizzle. On the way back we identified more locations and stores where the tank battles took place. Took pictures and compared it with the scene pictures at the train station earlier. Most of it was down to luck, and we were very lucky that day. Stopped by a toy store and had a look around. Zyl bought a hard to find Gundam kit. Back at the station we each got Garupan train ticket stamps from the station master. I got Miho stamp for 170yen. Left Oarai, no Garupan train this time. At Ueno, they went to Akiba, I went back to Mitsukoshimae to meet up with some co-workers. Ate Fugu nabe and shashimi, talked stuff. Back at hotel by 10pm.

Miruku arriving at 11pm tonight. Everyone else left for Comiket before 5am to line up for their stuff. I just came by on my own at around 10.30am. Train to Hamamatsucho then tranfer for train to Daiba. Relatively smooth with medium crowds. Could sit down for the rides. No lines going into Big Sight. Walked around all the halls in the east and west sides for about 2.5hours, but didn’t go to the industry booths on the 2nd floor. Lots and lots of doujins, including from western cartoons, military buffs, trains, and the usual hentai stuff. Unusually large number of yaoi stuff. Or probably not as unusual considering it’s the first day. Went back to hotel and had Brahim’s rice for lunch. Met up with the guys at ningyocho apartment at 6pm to go see Nanoha 2nd movie at Shinjuku. Bought the movie ticket for 1800yen together with Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG, Ikmal, Ultima, and his Japanese friend. This was the 4th time Ikmal saw this movie. Before movie started, Ikmal showed us around the area. Ultima and his friend were tired so waited at cinema. Lots of shopping in the area. Went back for start of movie. Never seen any Nanoha, but thankfully still can follow the story, though my eyes kept looking at the bottom of the screen for subtitles because of habit. Went back to Ningyocho. Spotted cheap vending machine, bought warm bottled coffee for 80yen. Back to hotel.

Went to Ohi Racecourse aka Tokyo City Keiba to see Sunday Flea market at their parking lot. Spotted a Pokemon train on the way there at Oikeibajomae station, didn’t get a pic. Was raining all the way all day. No flea market today (because of rain or end of year?). Went into the horse racing circuit instead at 10.30am. Paid 100yen entrance fee. Saw horses being paraded in an area for pre-race. Saw my first horse race. Didn’t bet on any horses but still enjoyed it. No 6 came out of nowhere to win it. Tried a UFO catcher machine for a horse mascot plushie for 500yen/3 tries. Spent 1500yen epic fail. Walked out of complex, saw miniature horses being paraded. I don’t think they’re for racing though. Saw the Pokemon train again, but this time got a video. It didn’t stop at the station though. Took train straight back to Asakusa to meet up with Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG and Ikmal at 12.10pm. Miruku didn’t reply any messages so we went ahead. Headed for Sensoji temple, still raining. Lots of people around with umbrellas, hard to get good photos. A lot of small shops lining up the road towards the temple. Most are souvenirs and snacks packaged nicely to give to people. Went in, took lots of pics/vids, and came back out. Bought a wooden sword on the way out for 1000yen. Riuku and Jinn also each bought one. We had lunch at Denny’s nearby. I ordered vegetarian green noodles for my first proper serving of green vegetables in over a week, 680yen. Jinn ordered curry rice again, his 4th in a row eating out. EG had parfait for dessert, a staple for any anime with a famires scene. Planning to go Tokyo Sky Tree but we could barely see it with the rain and clouds (like someone took an eraser and rubbed the top half of it. So decided to skip it and go Nakano Broadway instead. Reloaded 3000yen in Suica card. Ikmal showed us around the area and the shops of interest. Lots of very old retro anime figure with very high prices. The Mandarake here is like in Akiba, but different shops instead of in one vertical building. There’s also a board game shop with a game going on. Bought mini ika musume set of 4 figures for 1000yen (should have bought 2 sets >_<). After that they all went back cause need to prep for tomorrow’s Comiket. I went to Akiba. Went crazy at UFO crane games. Tried different UFO games in different shops. I learned that figures in boxes are very hard to get. Actual damage unknown. Won 3 prizes, a miku plushie (there are 4 designs), a Sena bed sheet cover (2.1m x 1.1m) and a Yozora bed sheet cover (these things are huge). After calculating back, possible amount spent that night may have reached 9840yen (amount unaccounted for, no possibility of the 40yen being used in UFO crane games, minimum 100yen). Rain has stopped by the time I walked out of GAME Taito Station (the other big UFO crane game place other than Sega’s). Back to Hotel.

They all went to Comiket before 5am again. I met up with Miruku at his hotel in Kuramae. Asked reception for room number. He got ready and we went to Comiket. Passed by giant Gundam and mini statue of liberty on the way there. Met up with Ultima. He was from another train station. Apparently everyone else used that line too. Have to line up to enter Big Sight this time, unlike on first day. This time went to the 2nd floor industry booths. Seems they changed the crowd flow layout, went around before we could get to 2nd floor. Passed by large cosplay area, which apparently was an area for lining up on first day. Took lots of pics/vids in industry booth area. Picked up all the brochures and flyers. Miruku bought K-on jacket, only 500 available at 8500yen. Went back down to doujin booths. Saw the NEET special forces cosplay, took some pics. Different booths today. Most of the famous ones are already sold out and are packing up. Took random photos of booths. Went back to Ningyocho. Reloaded 2000yen Suica card. We had lunch at the Tenya in Ningyocho. I ordered the ebi tempura don for 430yen. After that Miruku left since not going to Anisong concert. Left apartment with Sets, Jinn, Riku, Ultima and Ikmal at 6.30pm for concert in Shinjuku. Bought Anisong T-shirt for 1000yen with list of performers on the back. Amazing performances. Crowd pumped. Event streamed live on TV. Some crazy guys rolling on the floor from apparent epileptic seizures. Lucky draws at the end, grand prize is signature of all performers. We didn’t win anything. Late night TV steaming ended at 1.30am. We left the hall at 1.45am. Went back to Ningyocho. I bought warm bottled coffee again for 80yen and stopped by konbini and bought rice crackers for 179yen since bread loaves were sold out. Walked back to hotel. In bed by 3.30am.

Met up with them at Ningyocho apartment. Ultima and Ikmal stayed over. Tried to contact Miruku, late reply, so we were to meet in front of Gundam Café in Akihabara instead. Took train to Akihabara from Ningyocho. Walked to Kanda Shrine nearby. Lots of people totally packed because of New Years. Lots of stalls lining up road towards shrine. Went in and took pics/vids. Some drums/flute performance going on. The hanged wooden plaques are full of anime inspired drawings with people’s wishes. Bought 500yen cotton candy with Pretty Cure cover. Went back to change for a Hatsune Miku cover instead. Bought 500yen tako yaki. Walked back to Akiba. Stopped by flea market. Lots of second hand figures and anime stuff. Some are very cheap. Met up with Miruku in front of Gundam Café at 1pm and brought him there. Walked around and separate. Meet up at 4pm in front of Sega. Me and Riku went back to try UFO crane games again. This time Riku helped me to get the Tsukasa Ayatsuji bed sheet cover (2m by 1.1m). 3100yen on UFO crane games. Riku won a Miku cushion at a lucky draw. Met up in front of Sega. Linkin, Edo and Radkiller were also there. Chat a bit, and took a group photo in front of Akihabara Station sign. Amazingly the guy I approached who was walking by was also a Malaysian, from the same forum. He helped take the photo for us. I hope he will post something in the forum. We all separated after that. Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG, Ultima, Miruku and me went back to Ningyocho. I went back to apartment to get more ready to eat Brahim’s rice and curry for makan2. Met up with Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG and Ultima at apartment to go giant Gundam in Odaiba. Met Miruku at Ningyocho station exit. Met up with Ikmal at Tokyo Teleport station exit. Walked through Diver City Tokyo. Met Linkin and Edo at Giant Gundam site. Took lots of photos and videos. There was a security camera pointed upwards at the Gundam, possibly in case it ever moves and flies off somewhere. Gundam Front official shop and Gundam Café were also there. Crowd eventually gathered for the ‘performance’ where the Gundam lights up, the head moves and smoke comes out of the thrusters. We took a group photo in front of the giant Gundam afterwards. Then went inside to go to the Gundam Museum. Entrance fee was 1200yen. Amazing 360 degrees dome type projection of a short movie. Inside were terminals with large screen where you can select life sized pictures of all Gundam character to take photos with. There were also some large miniature scale battles laid out with buildings and landscapes and stuff. There was also a video showing a Bandai factory on how they produce Gundam kits. We each sat on the 1:1 scale cockpit prop and took photos. Outside was a shop selling all the model kits. We then met up with Radkiller and went to a konbini to buy ourselves lunch. I didn’t get anything cause not hungry. We walked back to the giant Gundam and had lunch under its watchful gaze. Very windy day, the scarf Linkin had lost earlier in the morning was incredibly found again under the bridge while we were walking under it. Everyone decided to go Nakano Broadway. Walked to Odaiba station, somehow lost miruku. Ikmal and me walked back to look for him, but he was already at the station with everybody else. At Nakano we all split up and are to meet back at the entrance at 6pm. This time I walked around the building outside in the alleyways to see what other stores they have. There were a lot of food restaurant, some maid cafes (Kuroneco), Namco + Bandai arcade centers, Dvd stores, a 105yen store, etc. The 105yen store was 4 floors high with lots of cheap stuff. Bought a huge can of Orange Fanta, a dorayaki, and some retort rice samples for RnD. Total 945yen. Tried a UFO crane game to get a bed sheet cover (2.1m by 1.1m) of Super Sonico (holding rhythm guitar), Watanuki Fuuri (holding drum sticks), and Fujimi Suzu (holding bass guitar). 500yen for 6 tries. Got it with 1600yen. Went to Nakano Broadway entrance around 6pm. Sets and Jinn there. Talked a bit, Sets saw a balding white haired dude wearing a sailor suit walk past by. Jinn got a glimpse of him. I was luckily spared. Edo, Linkin and Radkiller went off afterwards. Sets, Jinn, Riku, EG, Ultima, Ikmal, Miruku and me went to a nearby KFC. I didn’t order anything after drinking the large can of Orange Fanta. From what they say, the chicken tastes better in Malaysia, but everything else is better in Japan. Met up with Sets, Jinn, Riku, and EG at apartment at 10.30am. All go Akiba meet up with Ikmal, Ultima, and Linkin at 11am briefly. Split up to meet up again infront of Sega at 3pm. Went to Game Taito Station. Tried a few UFO crane games. Managed to get 2 other Miku plushie designs (completed the set). Wanted to get Super Sonico figure, failed. Wanted to get NEET jacket, failed. Total spent there 3100yen. Went to the AKB building. Was like a department store with lots of stuff jumbled on each floor. Met Setsuna briefly there too. Spent 500yen on miscellaneous stuff. Finally found a cotton candy maker. Immediately bought it for 3000yen. Got message from Riku, trying out crane games. Went to meet up at Taito. Was trying to get the Koi to Senkyo to Choco figure (I think it was Chisato) on the super hard machine, the one with 2 sticky rubber rods blocking the way. He somehow managed to get it. We both went to the Volks building. I stayed to look around somemore, Riku went to Mandarake to get something. I went around to see some smaller shops afterwards and found some Ika Musume handkerchief in the bargain bin. Rummaged around and got the whole set of 6, bought them for 1800yen. Met up with everyone in front of Sega. Apparently Jinn had also been playing some UFO crane games. He got several small plushies when a few came tumbling down on one of his tries. They all decided to go for some cheap karaoke (200yen for half an hour special). I didn’t join cause wanted to go get some stuff from the 105 yen store in Ningyocho and eat at Ali Siddiq. Both were unfortunately closed. We later found out Ali Siddiq closes briefly between 3pm to 5pm. The 105yen store is closed for the holiday and will open again on the 5th of January. Saw a small shrine up some stairs. Went up to see. Took some photos/vids. Quite easy to miss the place when you walk by. Went back to hotel to eat last pack of Brahim’s rice with some curry. Went to apartment after they all got back and exchanged some photos with EG and Jinn. Bought 2 bottled coffee from the vending machine for 160yen on the way back to hotel.

Riku, EG, Ultima, Miruku and me going back today. Miruku checked out of his hotel in Kuramae at 9.15am and made his way to Ningyocho apartment. I checked out of hotel and brought all my stuff to apartment. Was there by 11am. Ultima and EG wanted to go straight to Akiba. Ultima got a PSPGo silicon cover and gave it to me. Riku, Miruku and me were going to Asakusa. We left for Asakusa but stopped by the 105yen store first to check it out. Was very small, but we found some nice cheap stuff. I bought pouches for PSP, camera and DS, got a rubber strap for the box I’m carrying and some more Chopsticks and cloth wraps for souvenirs. Also took some pics of Ningyocho area. Went to Asakusa. Was still crowded with New Years crowd. Looked around a bit then went for the store selling the wooden sword. I bought one long and one short sword. Riku going back to Ningyocho, so he helped carried my swords back. Miruku and me hanged around the area to see more of the shops. I bought a box of Tokyo Sky Tree Biscuits for 1050yen and 3 boxes of mixed Japanese snacks for 1000yen. Walked around further away from the center and saw lots of old shop buildings selling everything from Kimonos to backpacks. Some people offering services to pull rickshaws through the streets. With only 2 seats, it was most couples. The place was in full swing with matsuri style stalls selling food stuff. The usual stuff were there. Tako yaki, Cotton candy, Baked potatoes, Okonomiyaki, candy apples, etc. Miruku bought the Okonomiyaki. I was still full from breakfast. Took pics/vids of the place with no umbrellas blocking the view. Also saw Tokyo Sky Tree in the distance. Went into McD since Miruku wanted to get the Ebi Burger. Got an sms from Riku around 2.15pm saying Will was at the apartment, expecting us to have cleared out. Incoming tenant later that day. I sent out a message to others and we went straight back to Ningyocho. I brought my stuff back to the hotel to be left until evening. Came back to apartment around 4.30pm to see how things were. They were still clearing out so I got out of their way and went to Akiba. They all went straight for Haneda Airport. Reloaded 1000yen for Suica card. Walked around somemore. Bought Haruka Amami Idolmaster Revoltech figure for 780yen. 200yen for Aoi Mutou Moyashimon trading figure. 3748yen worth of clothes/shoes/parts from Azone International store. Additional 558yen for 2 figure stands. Went back to earlier shop to get Pocco Revoltech figure (based on Shunya Yamashita illustration) for 980yen. Felt hungry so decided to go to Tenya one last time. Past by Taito Station, went in just for lulz. Put in 500yen in the Miku plushie UFO machine. Got it on first try. 5 tries left, doshio. Called store attendant put another design Miku. Got it on 2nd try. 3 tries left. Thinking of how to pack these. Got store attendant to put them in a different, K-on box figure machine. 3 tries, the box didn’t even move. Ordered the okosama ebi tempura don at Tenya for 430yen. Got back to hotel by 7.15pm. Repacked stuff into boxes and left hotel for Ningyocho station for direct train to Haneda. Got on train about 7.45pm. It’s the wrong. Messaged Ultima said to get off Shinagawa and wait for the right train. Did so and got to Haneda. 970yen left in Suica card. They all were waiting at airport, doing some last minute repacking and just relaxing. The amout of luggage we are bringing is quite amazing. All went to check in counter. Skipped long queue since we already did web check in. Got the Optiontown 2 empty seats. Went inside past immigration and started taking pics of all the snacks and sending to sis to buy. Got instructions and bought Sakura Macha flavoured KitKat, Chocolutwich and Marucoro snacks for 3100yen. Ultima bought some stuff for friend and we combined to get 1 spin at the lucky draw. Got a small bag of sweets, shared with everyone. Went into the departure waiting area. Bought a small bottle of orange drink from the store for 147yen. We boarded a bus headed for the plane parked on the tarmac. Had 2 pre-booked meals but requested to have them before landing. Went straight to sleep. Woke up and had the Nasi lemak and the Kids meal consisting of a hot dog, small packs of honey mustard, chili and tomato ketchup, Ribena drink, nestle chocolate biscuit bar, and a book on origami and some paper. Landed at LCCT KL about 25 minutes earlier than scheduled around 6.15am. No problems with immigration and no problems with customs. Miruku took the transfer flight to Penang. Riku was asked by customs what the warped swords were. They seemed ok with his answer and let him through. EG was told to put his 2 boxes through the scanner, they didn’t ask to open so it was all good. Ultima and me shared a taxi out of LCCT.
