this question is apply on both Intel (LGA775, LGA1156) and AMD (AM3, AM2+, AM2) system.

want to ask, when we push the base clock up, will the PCI clock rise too on both system?
or the motherboard will auto locked it at 33.33MHz?
since PCIe clock can be manually locked at 100MHz.

for example, using Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 (rev. 2.1) on AMD system,
and Asus P5Q Deluxe on Intel system.

because i can't found the PCI clock synchronization mode on these motherboard.
but i can found the PCI clock synchronization mode on Asus P5B Deluxe.

PCIE freq at 100mhz, by default PCI clock will be at 33.33mhz. so either way, it's not a prob. unless u increase ur PCIE freq.

probably. when u lock pcie freq, the pci clock should be locked depend on ur pcie freq. if u put pcie freq on auto. it'll increase when u raise ur fsb bus thus also increasing ur pci clock which is not a good thing. set it to 100mhz is good enough.

running above 110mhz for pcie freq is not recommended as it can probably kill ur GPU and probably ur sata hdd.

oh, the sata clock also depend on PCIe clock?

PCIe is connected to the SATA on most mobo. anything higher than 105mhz can lead to data corruption on ur sata hdd.

too high pcie freq, sata controller wont work. also depend on mobo and at which freq it wont work.
