I tried all three standard, intermediate and expanded but I don't see any difference. Must be my untrained eye.

This is used to solve some compatibility issues with color depth.
You may ignore it if your TV displaying the correct image. |

expanded is like...really really saturated colours...my eyes also expanded with that setting

its was a brightness settings, expanded is blackier, normal has lighter contrast

I already found out after digging threw the net. It seems these settings are contrast settings. They make black darker and white brighter.
