I'm confused as to where you got this notion that Valencia were an attacking minded team under Rafa. They were a counter-attacking team with a solid defending unit as their foundation. The difference I would say was that Valencia had pacier and far more effective players in the attacking third with the likes of Aimar and Vicente. IMHO the reason he won those titles were more because of the failings of Real Madrid and Barcelona during that time even if that's a little unfair on Valencia.
