hello there,
im driving a nissan sentra xe 2001 model. dad bought it, passed to me since then, its 12 years old already with mileage ~234,000km.
got a problem recently with the ignition key+NATS. one of the key button is broken when i opened up the cover, unlock button doesnt get depressed anymore so its very hard to get it locked with remote.
as for the spare key, the chip doesnt get recognized by the system, so its by pure luck for the car to get the 'bi bi' sound to start engine.
any idea where i can buy the same spare key? i can just replace the chip can i? dont want to ask tan chong, sure is expensive

QUOTE(Jemi @ Feb 12 2013, 10:56 AM) Hi all, I'm plan getting 2nd Nissan sentra this month My choice between XE or SG-L XE 1.8L much better FC. SG-L 1.6L slightly bad FC on full tank runs on 320Km only. If you can and go for 1.8L SG-L slightly highly price, but no regret after you own it. The rest not much issue. Parts and maintenance quite reasonable to affordable price. That's why my SG-L 1.6L bought last year only and the car age 9 yrs already still felt the car like new condition as better quality of Built.

SG got more chrome and wood finished. But SG more for looking long lasting. Even the latest model XG model of the rear lamp look more ugly than SG model.

I mean the exterior design. Price for 2nd value also not that expensive.

Price for 2nd value also not that expensive. So I will suggest you better go for SG 1.8L model for more more worth of money to buy. Even the age was older, but the overall look still better condition and new. If due to budget and go for 1.8L XE and guaranty you no regret of the FC. Becoz mine for SG-L 1.6L is around 320km at Rm64 on Ron95. For 1.8L can be much better FC at around 380-400km for Rm64.

QUOTE(Jemi @ Feb 13 2013, 08:41 PM) Need to wait till next week, many used cars dealer still closed. You can search in www.mudah.my And get more better comdition with low mileage & follow service booklet. 1st don't choose the higher mileage over 180km. Check gearbox and engine oil should be quite clean and not dark with stick condition. Also look at the overall door rubber is quite expansive for a single piece is around Rm500 per side door. 2nd check the brake / disc pad also, but can change after market as cheaper. The rest plus & minor and change in TC parts centre. This post has been edited by kimsim: Feb 14 2013, 07:30 AM

How to check gearbox oil? brake?
If the gearbox oil dark in color, what does it mean?
