HI Sifu,
My N16 2002 having below issue, i) while driving sometimes the gear doesn't shift up at all ii) while driving suddenly the transmission moves to idle position. i.e. something like driving in neutral gear. iii) it only happens at times not always. Iv)engine sound seem going loud as previous. I asked the TCEAS and they are saying mostly need to change the evolution sensor and it cause RM600++, and with the checking with all the sensor and cause Rm120++. If anyone has any experience with this before and what is the real root cause. I check back the old thread V1. Someone has the same issue, but i do not know the resolution. Hope all the Nissan folks can give some input here. Thanks |

Hi Guys,
My N16 1.6 yr 2008 have the issue of noisy brake pad. After 170,000 km mileage, only change 3 times of brake pad. First set of brake pad come with the car when new is very good no noise. Second set is by some local company, noisy for 1 month when first install after that no more noise after it's season with the brake disc. The last brake pad set that I change is from local Tan Chong production, cost RM90, very noisy and grip not good. I check with the mechanic for the original Nissan brake pad, the price is a whopping RM290! Anyone got any suggestion for a better and quiet brake pad for my N16? Default Argh! Nissan Sentra door open light constantly visible...pls advice? Hi all I drive a Nissan Sentra 06 and just changed my car alarm as it died. Did an aftermarket replacement. Now I notice that the door open light is constantly on but very dim. Is the wiring of the alarm system connected to this light? I have added the pictures I took. The brighter one is when a door is open and the dim light is when there are no doors open. Can someone please explain to me why this is happening? Ash Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Gigabitz @ Nov 18 2013, 03:01 PM) Good day!! =) I am driving a 1.6 Auto year 2008 now doing 170k mileage, overall is a good car, maintenance cost is rather standard and not costly. There is no sentra auto for year production after 2008, cos they stop producing them. I never test drive a 1.8 sentra before but I think 1.6 auto is sufficient for city daily commute for small family if you are not those heavy foot type. Whether your car is a good buy will depend on the condition of the car you buy.I am planning to get Nissan Sentra 1.6A Year 2008. However I am not too sure about the performance and fuel consumption. Hi all sifu-sifu,
Need help and opinion as i planning to buy a Nissan Sentra 1.6 SG Auto 2005 directly from the owner. Just want to know how much it worth in the current car market? 1. Engine : Tested drive, no noise, still consider is smooth. Engine surface clean. Haven't check the radiator and enginer oil yet. 2. Gearbox : Seems OK, no weird noise when shifting up/down. 3. Pick Up : Feel like lack of power, or car is heavy something 4. Specs : Nissan Sentra 1.6 SG Auto 2005 5. Transmission : Auto 6. Suspension : 4 Absorber dead, bush seems like got problem as well. 7. Tyre : Quite new, continental, but not sure is 15" or 14". Come with Sport Rim 8. Front and Rear Lamps : Front lamps seems blur and yellowish bit, back lamps OK. 9. Paint : Got some scratches, but seems just a small problem. 10. Interior : Seems ok, but got scratches here and there. Like the power windows button console there. 11.Process Fee : Buyer bear all the fee like change name, puspakom car inspection and etc So far this is the info, after test drive. Need all sifu-sifu help to give some advise here NOTE : sorry for my poor English |
