Trying to reinstall COD , CD1 installs perfectly, asks for CD II, hit continue but no progress bar appears and the installation just sits there indefinatly, if I remove the CD it just says please reinsert CD.

The CD does not appear to be damaged , I can view it fine in explorer etc.

Anybody come across this isssue?

i have bad news to tell you. when mw2 was launched, some people werent able to install the game because their disk 2 couldnt work. it is said that later by some players that the disk 2 is actually a xbox disc. u can try returning or download the game from steam. good luck.

And how you know the thread starter is having problem with MW2? There are still COD 1 2 3 4 5.

Only MW2 having 2 CDs. IIRC.

Well at least I know there's only mw2 with 2 CDs.
