WTF? Those figures are for the US from 29/11/09 to 02/01/10, not the whole of last year

so do statistics help us in choosing consoles?!... no. this stats just help the investors

WII is a family games, 360 and ps3 is for die hard gaming,

I still loves Mario but today I prefer Master Chief, different people different tasted

All the Wii haters will come out in hordes, pretending Mario, Zelda and all the other greats game sux, and start mocking it as a console for girls, old people,...... Well what's new?

Wii is welcomed by all peoples, but gamers do like ps3 and xbox360.

The Nintendo Wii, as have been said before, decided to change the approach and went for the mass market appeal. Hence, the price point and the games designed for it were largely different than what you would have seen previously.

Did it work? Sure. Does it change the future of gaming (as Gon Freak said)? I sure hope not.

No doubt Wii had great games for the "traditional" gamers but lets face it, it still won't cut it when we want those fancy cutscenes and in-game graphics. There are sacrifices to be made if games are made to meet the Wii specs.

So, if the sales of Wii is the sign of things to come, that developers will start looking to that trend, then its a sad day for all of us, ain't it?

Your FF13 will never see the light of day, your God of War 3 is down the drains. The Gears, the Halo, the Assassin's Creed, the Call of Duties, the Forzas, the Gran Turismos. Say goodbye to them.

There is the Wii market, and there is the rest. These numbers do not determine who won the console war (I doubt there will ever be a winner) and the future of gaming is definitely not decided by this.
