Hmm..based on this:
http://www.sigmadesigns.com/Products/selec...tion_guide.html

The SigmaChip supports only 1.2...maybe they modified it to cater for 1.3

I wonder how much is the price
*
yeap its sigma chip is inferior to HDX BD1

wonder how is it compared to the NEW HDX BD1

QUOTE(ar188 @ Jan 15 2010, 06:37 PM)
it's a dune 1.0 clone.. I think using leaked Dune firmware.. (update F/W support unknown)
got 3 brands in china selling the same thing..

Added on January 15, 2010, 6:39 pm

hello.. please check the prices  before you compare.. both are different class products.. 300A is like 40% the price of this unit..
*
ok ok... besides the shoot-out

meaning to say might loose out to FW support..??? priced slightly above HDX BD1

so, Is it advisable to get at RM1250.00 + 10 FOC Bluray downloads

well... just one individual opinions smile.gif

after AV fair bought LX52, then BDP-S765... now..... sweat.gif sweat.gif

dont really think i can hold this purchase for another 3mths, i'll b very happy if they have 8642 chipset now ( maybe HDMAX BD-200C ES ) rclxms.gif

tis only the album art, shud see the concert, very sexy biggrin.gif cool2.gif

Added on January 19, 2010, 12:38 pmafter some serious testing, still prefer this 200C, only bad remarks is kenot house a HDD internally

anyway have ask them to check, cause the Sigma 8634 board have connectors for SATA/IDE, (if given the permission would have stripped out the casing to check ady).... shh....!! biggrin.gif hehe hehe

will be taking the LimHD 330A (8635) to test run tonight, vs the 200C (8634) (RM100 difference only)

overall in their shop,, the 300A loose out to 200C on image depth, and clarity,
but still i have to cart it back calibrate on my LCD, cos seriously... i still prefer an internally housed HDD biggrin.gif

but still.. hmm.gif think the verdict.... will settle for the 200C....hmm biggrin.gif

HDMAX BD-200C vs HDX BD1, which one better, HDX BD1 how much ar?

Added on March 3, 2010, 11:34 pm
Bro, what brand and model is your center speaker, I'm also looking for a shorter in length like yours so do not need to buy a separate stand...
*
its Audica,
the center i'm having is actually a LCR type (left/center/right) housed into one

think (just heard) the new distributor is CMY

for me i will always prefer the BDMAX-BD200C to the HDX-BD1 eventho' the HDX has a newer chipset
BD-200C...its a complete 2in1

Guess what..... i upgraded/downgraded the FW w/o problems ( even upgraded it with the Patterson F/W) no problem too ...ah everything playing normal, except the little Display panel, dusplayed garbage characters (Patterson using different Display module)

I event went to the extent of.... upgrade/downgrade..... then SWITCHED-OFF the power, sweat.gif Switched Back on its running again, Phew!! rclxms.gif

yup... will give reviews later, busy on some other things, brows.gif

BTW... any Great sifu's did a comparison on the HDX 8642 sigma vs the 8634 chipset, what are the great differences...

gracias

It's really a good time to accumulate the region B BD at the current price

So if this player comes with region free...it's really an extra bonus
*
thanks great stuff,
but more or less wit Region A prices ... rite!!!

Waitng for someone to confirm whether its Region B or not,
then no worry .... can but any BD's from Amazon tongue.gif
