Danny, What oil u using now? Ken told me that your engine very noisy. Last time my engine roar loudly when at 140kph & a lot people said its normal for 4G18P engine. After using this oil, my engine roar not as loud as 140kph last time when I cruising at 170kph.

How is your engine sound when idle with air con off?

Quite good actually,but don't know why after changed to denso iridium,and sent to changed the plug,my pedal become heavier...like something wrong there..haiz

Compare to new car? My car engine sound just like new car, slightly louder den new myvi.

there is one workshop(s.y workshop or something) behind parkroyal hotel in kl(entrance same with oversea restaurant jalan imbi further up) that offer cheap aircond service. a few of my friend been there before.
20 bucks labour + 30 bucks gas.

btw, loud engine noise could be caused by a worn out bushes and engine mounting.
i just switch back to tein superstreet adjustable and there is a lesser sound from all 4 absorber area when driving over uneven road surface. too bad i'd been spending less time with my waja lately.

engine sound could not be be heard from inside the cabin(with audio turn off) during idle with the aircond turn on. but the 'ssshhhhhhh' sound is there. even the new saga blm i bought for my other sister has the same ocassional 'shhhhh' sound

What I mean, engine sound not heard from cabin, pop up your bonnet, get the sound directly from your engine with aircon off. Cos compressor making noise. If your engine sound is loud, your engine oil is 1 of the main factors other than that, the detonator, compressor belt & timing belt also would the factor of your engine sound. Hearing from inside cabin wont help la bro, cos the firewall ori soundproof block all the noise. Bushes & engine mounting only will caused your engine shaking, not sound la.....

tested before. it's about the same with idle myvi engine sound. idle rpm around 800.
am only using shell hx7. planning to do engine oil flushing and try idemitsu semi synth on next service

Very good, light pedal even though semi-synthetic..

That means you using the right oil for your engine. If your engine idle sound is loud, try to change other oil type. Especially for our 4g18p engine are not so suitable using full synthetic oil.... Maybe too thin for our coarse engine... Recommended oil for 4g18p is 20w-50 lolz...

No la... RM200 last time. Rainbow is just a brand.. lolz... 4300k is yellowish white colour.
