Seems that the brakes wasnt good enough,

sorry to hear that,
was facing same problem last time. the brake is worst at high speed.

where u get those?
*
halfcut shop somewhere in sungai besi. cost 550 bucks with workmanship installed at seri kembangan.
the different is quite big due to the bigger disc and 2 pots caliper of evo 3 front brake.

btw, front brake is the most important ( about 85% workload)

@kobe10@
which workshop you got your tb cleaned?

i kena quote 175 each for engine mounting and gearbox mounting, sibeh exp lei no money..........after change wad do u feel?no vibration??
*
too expensive. proton oem engine mounting cost rm80 each x4 = rm320 + rm60 labour charge.
changing 1 / side will not be as effective. need to change 4 at the same time to avoid extra strain to the single new mounting. labour cost is quite costly.

danau kota-setapak, oem parts same as your about rm 380, urs include installation? sometimes his stuff is expensive sometimes reasonable. dont know because i know him through my friend or his price is really resonable, sometimes hear he tells other customer a higher price, depends.
*
yes. was done at the workshop somewhere in maluri, cheras.
now left with one problem. none of the workshop could solve the loose rubber sound when going over an uneven road. car feel unstable at high speed cornering.
have tried everything from mounting, swapping suspension & pillowball, all round lower arm check, fuel tank bracket and even the boot area; spare tire and car jack just in case it was loosened.... sweat.gif

most obvious sound came from the rear at the right side. lucky i've got another ride.

waja ecu usually auto adapt to any changes after a couple of days. smile.gif
ecu reprogramming might require additional piggyback such as e-manage....
you may go ahead and let us know the result.... brows.gif

By the way I can feel the brake sumtimes like "makan tak makan" when braking is it the disc surface uneven??wad nid to be done??
*
waja stock brake sux big time. i've tried changing to ferodo zero and bendix metal king titanium pad coupled with cross drill / slotted / ventilated disc (front, with stock caliper), pro-rs brake hose and brake fluid bleeding but the performance is still not up to expectation even at optimum operating temperature.
swap with perdana brake system front; still not up to the mark. finally settled for twin pots evo 3 brake system. takes a lot shorter distance to stop, even in high speed thumbup.gif
if the disc surface is uneven, it will caused a loud squeaking sound when we press the brake pedal slowly.
skimming the disc will settled the problem but for safety reason, it's not advisable to skim the disc more than twice!
if the pedal need to be pump in order for the brake system to works properly, bleeding /changing the brake fluid will help.

I already install it for 1 week now...This 2 days really feels the power n smoothness. But wonder the ECU need 1 week to remap to feel the LCP effect  blink.gif
*
it's normal for the ecu to take a couple of days before it adapt to the new changes / lcp.
any big different in acceleration?

QUOTE(TUCKY @ Feb 10 2010, 01:08 PM)
yesterday I drove my ex-GF's new dugong. cabin so much quiter than my waja campro. Damn kau sad. Why my waja wehn press accelerator, engine sound so bad until can hear roar around my dashboard sigh! Why why why? Why can Proton do better job insulating the Waja? I mean the only real pricing difference is caused by Govt Taxes. SO Waja should be same quality as jap cars mah (except the taxes). Haiz so sad. Me only can afford Waja.
*
how old is your waja campro? my old waja 4g18p's nvh is better than the 1st generation vios when cruising at 160km/h. i am comparing both due to to the car's age smile.gif
check your engine mounting / bushes and those absorber bushes/ top cover(rubber). an all round noise insulation job cost under 1k nowadays; and the material is a lot more lighter than it used to be a few years back.

QUOTE(R80 @ Feb 10 2010, 07:16 PM)
guys, im planning to get a 2005 waja auto, since its the last batch for 4g18. im interested with the airbag version. whats the difference with the non airbag model?
*
waja 4g18p with airbag was the premium (X) version. beside the airbag, it does come with abs , leather seat and climate control. scroll to page 1 for more.

just changed sachs absorber a pair, rm320 with installation..
And my driver side power window fail me when i was on the way back to Kedah from KL.. All the way half open..
*
squeaking metal sound? or rubber sound? hmm.gif
you should try a reputable brand of adjustable tongue.gif
tein superstreet never fail me after more than a year in use. but the ride is harder compare to the stock
setup sweat.gif
currently looking for a custom made spring for it.
must be an uncomfortable ride then. consider changing it to metal type icon_rolleyes.gif

yup thx.... biggrin.gif
parts 350 and labour 160, frm melaka... smile.gif
when i press brake no sound come out wor, just need to press harder to get the stopping power, so is nt the the disc uneven lo???
btw i never skim the disc b4 thou 8 yrs car ad and how is done??
*
510 bucks is more expensive then what i paid for mine lat time. with bearing and my own absorber swap too.
you may need to bleed / change the brake fluid. mine used to have the same problem. sometimes need to pump twice to work properly. changed to pro-rs brake hose with bleeding and brake fluid change. problem solved.
disc uneven will produce a squeaking metal sound.
disc skimming is only require when the disc surface is uneven. any workshop will do it for 80 bucks( front pair).

@brewoe_1988@
a few mechanic also saying the same thing about my car's aged braking last year. no problem! when in fact, we as a regular user will instantly knows if there is a slight different in car's behaviour.
it's normally done in a go. drain the fluid and add in a new one. and let the mechanic works out the optimum braking rate.
driving fast with a worn out disc / aged waja stock brake system is dangerous.
even a good tires will not help the car stop in time sweat.gif

@tjroy@
220 bucks with installation. done in JB about 2 years ago.
be careful coz' wrong installation may interfere with the ABS system thus caused the ABS warning light keep turning on.

@squareballs@
plastic panel that holding the mirror may need to change. prolonged exposed hot sun light might caused the plastic to melt. thus caused the whole panel to stick to certain part. same thing happened to my rear door as well.
i pull the glass while pressing the button at the same time and the whole plastic panel broke into pieces rclxub.gif

sometimes, it could be caused by the faulty sensor or even a cabling fault.
when i change my brake hose to pro-rs last time around, abs light light always on.
turn out it was caused by the slightly loose installation.
check the cables.
