it's not about engine power, it's about braking solid' feel and response rate. stock brake can't even stop the car properly
btw, my 'stock' car is currently in hibernate mode waiting for it's turn to speedworks.

bendix metal king is not viable on standard waja disc. will bite' your disc faster than ever. thus produced more dust and disc become thinner in no time
could just use a soft sand paper on the pad surface. bosch pp works better on standard disc, btw. |

QUOTE(nayte @ Mar 27 2010, 08:29 PM) i see. yeah ppl told me that bendix will bite the discs faster too. so i'm assuming that the 50 bucks difference between bosch and bendix, bendix would bite alot more than bosch? exactly! i always believe brake is one of the most important part in the car. hence, play around with most of the branded pad from entry level mintex, a few from bosch to ferodo and bendix not to mention single, twin and 4 pot caliper from different manufacturer. high performance disc need to pair with equally good cross drilled performance disc rotor for maximum gain when those high performance brake pad mated to standard disc rotor on waja, all you get is dust and faster wear and tear on the disc rotor QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Mar 28 2010, 12:19 AM) 50 ringgit for rotor seems scarry how long was it since you last service your brake system? if more than a year, then you need to bleed' and change the brake fluid already.anyway my break pedal now require me to press quite deep before it start to bite. anyone know how can i shorten the distance? |

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Mar 30 2010, 09:41 AM) errr anyone know where to get cheap and reliable Rear power window ® coz mine already pecah and the strings are tangling!!! i wan those plastic full cover type... dun wan the metal one edi coz bising! if you're getting the rubber one, it will give the same problem after a prolonged expose to sunlight with proper installation, metal type should be okay. i've got mine from mudah and get it installed together with 6mm noise insulation material. no more 'tak' 'tak' sound. btw, pro-rs braided hose is awesome |

QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Mar 31 2010, 12:46 PM) i saw some dude in cps thread had it installed, he says that it wont help in minimizing the braking distance, but it only helps the times of braking needed, in short, it is just for 'show' he claim, im not so sure though... i thought i posted it earlier. to minimize / shortened the brake distance, you need a bigger disc with more amount of caliper;ie; twin pot caliper will bite more effective than those single pot. and 4 pots definitely better than twin. cross drilled / slotted standard disc will only help in minimizing the fade rate during frequent braking. and it need to be pair with performance brake pad for optimum result too. i've had enough on on single disc brake system. after upgrading to twin pot, i've had no worries even when the driver in front suddenly brake for no apparent reason btw, make sure the tires is good too. at least a reputable brand of UHP class with AA traction rating QUOTE(nayte @ Mar 31 2010, 09:19 PM) haha just skimmed disc rotor, changed brake pads. and flushed brake fluid. fuuuh now bite kao kao. always ter lock the brakes cos now the pedal damn sensitive. haha! those ceremic pads really worth the money. you got it right bro QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Mar 31 2010, 09:35 PM) yeah, who would be a douche enough to actually believe on that, no offence i thought the sticker act more like an emf shield? but if it is really working, it would be all over the news now any waja owner willing to try and give us a feedback? imagine if the whole car is full of sticker? will it be flying? |

Added on April 2, 2010, 9:27 pm QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 2 2010, 11:08 AM) why go back to stock setup? just get a proper clear vacuum box for the open pod. leave the stock waja air intake that goes to the old airbox; it will channel the cool air from outside right to the vacuum box and open pod filter. QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 2 2010, 11:17 PM) what is a vacuum box? sorry we call it vacuum box because it prevent the hot air from the engine bay going into the open pod filter area. the original air intake from the bonnet will channel the cool air instead.i went for a few round of test just now. seems lacking something. the feeling is like not enough air go thru below 3k. it was a clear bigger plastic box shape(just like the original waja air box that cover the open pod area. sorry no picture but a few of my friend was using it last time. my waja is definitely 'stock' if am not mistaken, johnvk's waja vip ride was using the same setup too! |

Brotherjoe@
you sure it was the chassis floor vibration? uneven tires wear or even an aged suspension that can't sustain certain speed will cause the vibration. your wheels bearing is fine? check your lower arm bushes i used to drive at 190km/h without any vibration. btw, waja speedometer is more or less about 10km/h faster than the actual speed recorded on digital meter / gps. swk_sam@ my waja 4g18p doesn't even vibrate at 190km/h. but engine vibration at high speed accompanied by a humming sound thats very disturbing to the ear; a sign of engine mounting going to reach it's end of lifespan jolipoli81@ yes. that's the way it's done! most of the workshop in sunway will be happily customize em for you johnvk is one tough guy This post has been edited by yngwie: Apr 3 2010, 01:42 PM |

QUOTE(nayte @ Apr 5 2010, 09:04 PM) bro if distance not a problem for you, i knew the guys for a year. i think i posted in the thread sometimes ago. used to send my waja and another with gsrt engine for a regular service there.http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/668146 lol. this guy is really good la. i went to him once and was impressed mr.raja is very knowledgeable. QUOTE(pisang @ Apr 6 2010, 05:14 PM) dear sifu, get the new michelin ps3! just get a pair of 225/45/r17 ps3 donut for my regular ride. back to kampar for qingming and the new tires didn't disappoint me on the way back after run in. WTS: what tyres recommended for 15" ori Waja rim? my requirement is reasonable price with good durability & reliablity. No need performance. i'm thinking of Falken ZIEX 912 ? ok ar? wet and dry traction is top notch! and quiet ride! plan to get replaced my waja with ps3 soon. else, you could go for falken ziex 912 for comfort and some performance. a.drive sidewall is too soft for a spirited driving. but should be okay for normal everyday ride. yokohama c.drive or ar1 drive is better. stay away from nct5! sime astar 300 and dunlop d01 has a better performance in wet compare to the more expensive nct5! |
