QUOTE(shahz @ Jan 15 2010, 01:12 AM) • VOIP calls quality (3G and wifi) Not tested yet. Got any solid aplication for testing? I believe there is no Skype app yet..?
For VOIP, no native skype voip client yet but you can try using fring or nimbuzz. Both support skype voip call.

QUOTE(Aurora @ Jan 15 2010, 08:45 AM) By the way, any chance of this working smoothly with an outlook exchange server? I'm not sure nexus have build in support for exchange but even if it does the current bundle exchange support available on other android handset is pretty weak. Most android users that must rely on exchange ended up buying the touchdown app on android market ( see http://www.androlib.com/android.applicatio...itroid-pjx.aspx and http://www.nitrodesk.com/dk_touchdownPurchase.aspx ).

QUOTE(paultantk @ Jan 17 2010, 05:17 AM) I'm still unable to go online with digi in my nexus one. Just to confirm, apn name is diginet and everything else is pretty much blank right? I even tried blank uid/pass, digi/digi, guest/guest. All doesn't work. I'm not trying to get mms running at this point, data first! Do I need to restart the phone or something before I can get the apn to take effect? APN: diginet MCC: 502 MNC: 16 This is the setting I have on my magic, the rest of the field is blank.

QUOTE(dpo_99_sl @ Jan 18 2010, 02:19 AM) shahz, the rooting process very similar to hero? so is it ok to follow you previous rooting guide? This is one big difference of nexus one from previous android phone, it is very easy to root, very little risk of bricking your phone. There is one pretty good guide here - http://androidandme.com/2010/01/hacks/vide...ot-a-nexus-one/

QUOTE(bahathir @ Jan 19 2010, 10:55 AM) The google navigation only works in USA. IMO Ref: (RTFP : Read the Fine Print at the bottom of the page) http://www.google.com/mobile/navigation/#p=defaultThere is a hack version of google navigation that can be used here ( with some limitation ). Note that if you install using the direct download link below, it will install another google map application, i.e the hacked version along your current google map. QUOTE(cleave @ Feb 4 2010, 05:43 PM) I believe Digi 3G is 3G and Celcom 3G (and also Maxis) is 3.5G. So speedwise, Celcom & Maxis would win as they theoretically offer up to 3.6Mbps while Digi can only go up to 700Kbps. As you put it Neocable, network congestion is one of the downsides of Celcom. I used to be a Celcom 3G customer but due to the frequent lag, I terminated the service. I'm not too sure about this, but I think Digi will switch to EDGE if 3G coverage is not available, and EDGE is something Celcom doesnt have. No, that's not correct, I'm using Digi 3G and can reach above 1Mbps. They do have 3.5G but coverage is still small.

QUOTE(ccm @ Feb 11 2010, 11:46 AM) Can I know what is the average Internet connection speed you guys have for your N1? not wifi, is from yr ISP.. then can I know if u r under HSDPA covered your logo will still 3G or 3.5G or H ?? I upgraded mine to celcom 3.6mbps... but I never have speed more than 1.0mbps..always 11x~16x..sometimes even worse at 60kbps only.. the fastest i get is 600kbps.. Where are you testing this ? celcom have a big coverage but the performance at some location is really bad ( you can check the many celcom 3g/broadband complain in lowyat's forum ).
