erm how come.maybe u can try dl the file again in case it got corrupted during the download process..

btw i did all the steps just now on my macbook pro and from what i read using desktop is a simpler process..

not sure what's the real cause for ur problem there. maybe wait for Shahz to come in later ?

ermm i dunno if there is any other better way.. but if i'm in ur position most probably i restart doing everything all over again, starting with superboot..

just go on install the htc_ime.apk .. later u can switch which input type u want to use in ur message box.. so no harm trying

i woke up this morning and the first thing i did is installing the desire's alpha 7 rom

thx to modaco, now htc desire is not in my wish list anymore!

still testing out the rom. so far i havent got any issue like the wallpaper, usb mount like they mentioned in modaco.

but so far i notice is my camera flash is not working.. hopefully later u can test it

last time i also had 3G fluctuation issue. the signals also drop heavily from 4 bar to 0 frequently..

but after flashed to ere36b the problem solved already..

obviously Nexus One. while N900 is still a very good phone, Nexus One is miles ahead of it.. if u read reviews u'll notice few things that Nokia miss to make N900 a real competitor to other great phones.

and Shahz, not to complicate things, but as ex-iPhone user, i still miss iPhone solidness and simplicity. u're rite, i'm not going to leave android (or Nexus one) for iPhone but I seriously wish I have both! haha.

but i cant deny the fact. i love my Nexus One now more than I loved my 3GS last time..

omg.. feel sorry for u mate.

i experienced bricked phone before with my htc hd.. but somehow i manage to 'jump start' it by pressing few keys repeatedly.. it looked like there's no light at the end of the tunnel.. but i just tried..

so maybe now u can try all those method. like press and hold the trackball and press power button once. try it few times or hold it long enuff.. i dunno.. huhu. hope u dont have to send ur phone to htc for rma..

yes. the problem is if u see a logo of android jumping out of the box. but that also dont have to worry much if u do a nandroid before u flash ur zip file..

i last time messed with my invisible shield.. demn.. luckily got askarperang to be saviour.. got the epikcase at nice price to protect my nexus

btw just to share that facebook application for android is super crap. there are so many things we cant do and the best is to use the browser for fb..

i wonder why iPhone's fb app is damn good and we android cant get the same thing? who is to be blame.. is it fb itself or android developer doesnt really focus on the FB..

yups coz my 1st iPhone is iPhone 3G that i bought when maxis first brought iphone to malaysia.. which is somewhere in early 2009. hmm it's a good news then.. meaning there's still hope to have good FB app on android.

yes i'm using that as option to the browser.. and yes it is definitely better than stock fb app..

shahz, are u using app2sd? becoz with cm5.0.5.2 my app2sd doesnt seems to work. i already updated to recovery 1.7.0 also not working..

i miss the desire's rom.. too bad the bluetooth is unreliable..

am i the only one who think 500mb is not enuff? last month my data usage is 553mb and i was charged rm200 for the extra 53mb

so now i subscribe to the rm99 plan which is a bit wasting considering i've the 500mb data from my ivalue 1 plan. but i dont want to spent rm200 anymore!

anyway why on earth maxis does not has unlimited data anymore? the max is 3gb per month.. sigh..

i've set up both my y7 mail and gmail.. also auto sync facebook, twitter, and google..

and i also always surf the net using my nexus. bcoz my home connection is super slow bcoz my housemate is download whore haha!

Erm bahathir, care to elaborate more on the serious problem of the nexus one here?

i read in Desire thread they are mentioning that many current Nexus user will jump to Desire once it is release..

so anyone here is confirm to do so?

i myself not sure bout it yet, but in terms of design, for me desire looks a bit unbalanced because of it's lower button positioned.. and nexus one looks way sexier than the desire..

but i really like Sense UI and i guess my next move is depends on whether Paul or other devs manage to fully port the desire's sense ui into the nexus ..

for me the best rom is desire a16.. i have problems with desire a18 onwards.. also tried cyanogen latest but that rom is battery sucker. well at least in my case

now back to original rom.
