CBR 150
- body vibrates, at a certain speed (my friend using this bike. He told me)
- Speed wise, very fast
- Maintenance will not be as expensive as ZX150.
- Generally for Honda vehicles, can easily get aftermarket products. So price will not be expensive
- Although Honda has a high resale value, this model is not that famous in market. So value will not be that high.
- Others I do not know, I am not using this bike.

ZX150
- Speed wise, extremely fast
- Because it is a 2T bike, maintenance will be slightly higher. Well, you will not see much difference because most likely you are paying more for the 2T fuel. Cannot use cheap one, otherwise the power valve will jam. But this bike is a 2T saving bike. My coolant finished faster than the 2T doh.gif
- Parts are very much expensive. If anything spoil, be prepared to spend some big amount. I spent nearly RM300 just for the ignition lock (original).
- Somehow I do not have a "Uumph" feeling when riding this bike. I find Yamaha 125z's sound nicer compared to this bike. I find the bike's engine not smooth, especially when you use Ron95. Maybe, it is only me smile.gif
- 2nd hand value, very low. Prepare to use it for 10-15 years before selling off.
- This is a hot bike for thieves. If you leave it unlocked, it will be now you see, now you don't. My bike was almost got stolen 2 months back. Prepare 4-5 good quality locks for this bike. Do not park this bike in a insecure area.
- Exhaust pipe is like shit. It is very high & anybody sitting behind, their slippers will easily get burned. The pipe is nearly touching my hand when I stand next to the bike. I just got my fingers burned (2 months ago) for accidentally hitting the pipe & the marks are still there on my hand. I wonder why don't they have some protective metal like they have for other bikes.
- Overall a good bike for speeding but there is a limit to speed. If you constantly speeding, you will feel something went wrong with your engine.
- Not everyone will like it. Maybe I am not a racer type of guy smile.gif

yes, tested it both. i agree the cbr is alot slower than the Kips ninja. Also the Ninja look nicer. The Cbr is just too thin. But come to maintanance, the CBR win hands down. Both got pros and cons.

same situation like me before i purchased my cbr150 biggrin.gif
after riding nearly around 1 years in term of maintainance is quiet cheap...same as u using underbone bike...just need to change engine oil around 3k km...resale value for 09/08 registered around rm7.5k - rm8k and depending on the millage and for the parts is quite hard to find because this is not a popular bike ZX150...very2 hard to find spare parts/aftermarket part in malaysia...u have to purchase it either in thai/indonesia... tongue.gif
but u still can order from honda boon siew( now this company are 50/50 share with honda japan )...so i guess the sevice should be quite ok..hehhehhehe
and the main reason why i choose CBR150 over ZX150...
i'm not really a fan of 2 stroke bike...(lazy to maintain 2T need to top-up every 1000km or less blush.gif )

Kawa is still better if compare this 2. as for spare parts of kawa, if u live nearby subang glenmarrie area, then no prob as the service center is there. dont need to go indon to buy... and can do simple mod if u want also.

and lately very popular... even police are using.

I prefer the look of the ZX150 and the engine of the CBR. The CBR looks OK from the side but from the front, looks so thin like the pink panther, can even go thru' the keyhole. biggrin.gif

FZ150i ? For everyday use perhaps.

I am considering it seriously since its priced at RM8k vs CBR150 RM10k

plus its EFI vs CBR 150 carb.

IMHO, if you want power just go for 250cc and above. My uncle used CBR600 >> CBR900>> DUCATI 996.

He only got satisfied with the DUC.

both year 2008? what are the mileage?

for CBR, engine top service will burn your pocket...
for KIPS, normal use 2T and petrol will burn pocket slowly...

If anything damaged, like headlamp, signal, coverset etc... Kawasaki replacement easier to find, compared to Honda. Price about the same.

Regular maintenance, in terms of time and money, KIPS need more attention, but the riding more satisfying. 200-220kmh top speed stock. Highway economy speed at ~140kmh, or topgear at ~7000rpm before KIPS valve opens. CBR topspeed 150-160 kmh? Cruises easily at 130kmh.

Risk: KIPS higher. The bike, brake clamps, rims, carburetors attracts unwanted attractions...

My personal choice, KIPS, despite every cons...

ZX150 larr.....since I own one I can say it is the good stroker 150cc that you can buy brand new since there is no other company making 2 stroke 150cc sportsbike nowadays ...

But if fuel is your concern go for CBR150...good for long distance run & the performances slightly better than FXR150.

as an ex-owner of a 2T Bike, i will recommend 2T Bikes anyday.
you will appreciate its pickup power. a basic 110cc 2T suzuki will go from 0-100 in 4-5 seconds.
