 [GUIDE] Why won't my OS update?, I've deleted the vendor.xml file!

i know its not the same with other brand ok, but at least smart system will show us which file to delete or continue to erase current firmware then rewrite it with the new ones rite? how many times should i wipe my hand held device? sad.gif , its not easy for most new user like me.....

Yeah sometimes updating firmware can be a headache. I personally hate updating firmware.

i tried to follow the first step from the first page, done flawlessly with loader.exe but still not change anything my os version is still the same. huhh feel like a retarded now shakehead.gif

I only do update when necessary.. Otherwise I will just skip it..

but ppl keep talking abt os 5 is much better for bold 9000, like when viewing photos or videos or youtube or other application are much faster and smoother ............who doesnt want that?????

Definitely OS5 is much better then OS4. Why not u try to backup yr BB and do a wipe. Then only update firmware.

I was also using .979 , i felt the firmware was not so stable. Sometimes it makes the BB slow. How did u find it ?

i think do it manually is much better then auto uptade, now downloading from rim my bold 1 OS 5 firmware.....hope shud be ok la sweat.gif

After download expedite the files to your PC then use Desktop Manager to install it..

If it is official no need to delete except it is Leaked or Hybrid OS
