Last week, suddenly the ISP (Ma?is) sent me SMSes saying that they configured my phone & also something about WAP portal, the HSDPA/HSUPA were activated, and when i checked the bill the idiotic Ma?is charged me >RM90, it stated i have downloaded more than 9MB, %^&*!! Really blood-sucking.
AT the moment i only use WiFi for web access, I dont need to get the web package yet.

So, I Would like to ask sifu here,
1) To disable 3G internet access, we just need to disable HSDPA/HSUPA in Advanced Network? i also did not configure Setting in Connection (MyISP).
What else do i need to set to prevent the phone from going online via 3G?

2) I went to Ma?is website to disable the internet pay per use option in their value add option, but it doesnt allow me!! shit? any other way to do it?

3) When I used GoogleMap, i saw it still pointing me the direction as i was driving, so is using GPS chargeable? If not i will have to download the direction with WiFi first, then use it without navigation online.

4) I saw my HD2, top right corner, there's no arrow down icon for showing all the running programs so that i can exit the selected program.. is it my setting problem?

THANKS in advance.. notworthy.gif

This means that your HD2's origin is not from South East Asia(SEA)...You can definitely download this ROM Upgrade if your  original Shipped ROM is 1.48.707.2...I'm guessing that yours is not.

HD2 for our region, by default already come with chinese input. I know mine did. But for the rom update, I'm now sure if it would recognize our rom from the serial number itself.
Strange, but my serial start with HT9CENW06xxx. You sure you type it correctly?

Correctly typed but still the same.

Thanks to your serial, i can download now rclxms.gif

i installed that cookie home tab, but i couldnt see the registry,
so i installed registry editor: regedit.Mrln_ARM, then i opened it, it was PHMRegEdit but i still couldnt not see the registry entries of cookies home tab, so i downloaded ISO-8859-1_Co0kie.HomeTab & clicked the reg file, it opened up the PHM RegEdit, but i still cannot see the cookie entries in registry... so i couldnt change the setting, the cookie home tab is in default state now...

I have no idea sure what i did wrong... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Thanks DrWho smile.gif

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila\ was where i looked for the registry entries but no where in sight.

Using CeRegEdit at my PC also did not find those cookies home tab reg entries too in the phone...

When they say import the reg file means click on it right?

I assume you are familiar with using Registry Editor.
What you are experiencing is similar to a few have experienced at XDA.
Solution: Uninstall the cab, turn device off and turn on( Not soft reset), install cab, turn device off and on again. You should see registry now. smile.gif

Thanks a bundle, DrWho, notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I did 2 or 3 times and finally i can see those cookies registry entries now.... rclxms.gif

By the way,
I have installed a phone conversation recorder, it automatically records all phone conversations...
I need it because evry time when client tells me some details over the phone & then i need to search for pen & paper high & low...
Now very convenient....recordings are purely for personal use only.

However, this program is causing massive slowdown & drain lotsa battery... what a shame, otherwise , it's a great program!!
