i'm having trouble to choose custom rom, but i don't have time to try all the roms......recommendations are really needed biggrin.gif

Speed > as long as not slower than 1.66 stock rom
Storage size left after hard reset > as many as possible
Memory > activate the forbidden memory lolx
Stability > of coz this is the most important...

currently checking on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=631662
as it seems very promising from the screenshot.

any advise?

Fancy looking ROM is basically FANCY LOOKING only. Two trusted and proven chefs, Dutty and Miri.
I am using Dutty V1.8 ROM with Radio 2.08.50.08. Recommended, fast and stable with good battery life.

corrupted SD Card. or infected with virus? make sure your pc is free from virus, once your HD2 connected as disk mode your MicroSD might get infect with virus from your PC.

flashed Miri Rom, starting device seems slower than 1.66 stock rom.

but in the rom, i love it, especially zooming photo in and out... super smooth. However, my contacts in chinese character are failed to show sad.gif

Boot the phone to SPL (red green blue white screen), attach USB and wait until the word "USB" appear. Then run the official ROM .exe file to flash from USB.

it is different from: "connect to active sync and run official rom .exe file"?

i read somewhere after hspl is done, hspl will protect us from bad usb flash, and the article saying usb flash only flash rom part...

the article: http://labelfree.co.uk/archives/3

i'm quite worry about the warranty thing rite now as my SD card disappear sometimes and soft reset don't help unless i remove the card and insert again for a few times, such thing already happen 4 times since purchase (6 Dec 2009).

I think you confuse with Windows Mobile 7 and Windows 7. laugh.gif

By the way, Microsoft actually used HD2 as a test platform for WinMo 7.  drool.gif Which means HD2 is capable of running WinMo 7. Only the performance of WinMo 7 on HD2 was not release.

WinMo 7 coming to HD2 is not as far as you have imagine. Just wait for xda developers laugh.gif

the latest one is regarding to the number of buttons on hd2 doesn't meet the requirements of wp7s brows.gif

i think we shouldn't use "wm7", as wm7 was terminated 18months ago.

the screen rotation speed does surprise me, always wondering what makes hd2 rotate slower...

too bad they didn't compare n1 together, as some ppl complain about the poor performance of desire rom on n1.

=================================================

my friend's hd2 vibrator was loose and causing loud "vibrate sound" on friday night, we went to htc service center at plaza berjaya on saturday, problem solve within 30 minutes, thumb up for the SC thumbup.gif
