alamak. now have to install one more cab pulak. what's it for?  unsure.gif

I am not sure you really need to install NETCF configuration for HD2. It is necessary for the older model phone. Skip this cab and install NETCF3.5 and if does not allow you to install BSB Tweak then you have to install. The cab will allow you to configure to use 3.5 or 2.0 NETCF as default.

My short reply: HD2 is suitable for your use and most issued raised by you have been resolved with hotfixes or new ROMs. Time to buy.

I'm using DiGi. Whenever there's no 3G coverage, my always-online EDGE will block any incoming calls. Thus, the SMS will come to notify missing calls. This scenario is normal for coverage that has no 3G connection. Your always-online service will block incoming calls.

Conclusion : disable always-online service if no 3G coverage.

It might be caused by WM delayed ringing and short ring time. You can edit registry to increase ringing time before it is diverted to voice mail.

Flashing Radio may help if it is caused by very weak signal. I am using Maxis with 3G disabled and I have not encountered such problem.

Hi All,

I remember i read in somewhere here that if we flash with a cooked ROM, it will void warranty. There are ways to reload back the HTC ROM & another thing that need to be reloaded so that "they" will not know that we've flashed with cooked ROM ??? What is that thing already ?? And how do we do backup for that ???

*** edit

I think i found it..its the SPL as per below;

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477

but i have problem with this

4) Uninstallation
Only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

Anyone can help ?? Or what is the best way to backup the original SPL ??
*
I don't think you can backup a SPL. You can restore a SPL from a shipped ROM by flashing it via SD card as above, ie the SPL is embedded in the ROM. Once you do that SIS will only see the shipped ROM and SPL, no trace of you crime!

thank you mr. who .. I'm downloading the "RUU_Leo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.66.707.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship" as a backup as this ROM is the same as mine at the moment. I think after i tried using cooked ROM, i will do a test to revert back to original to give myself a peace of mind for playing with cooked ROM ... smile.gif

A simple and stable cooked ROM is usually better than a fancy looking one. wink.gif
You will find the cooked ROM to be better than the shipped. Why revert back to original ROM?

Auto hard reset is not necessarily caused by a ROM, it is most likely caused by frequent flashing. Have you tried Task 29 to format areas which can't be cleaned by Hard Reset?

Just to check...

1. Download new ROM
2. Download Task29
3. Run Task29
4. Run new ROM installation ?
*
Sequence is correct. Performing Task29 is like flashing follow immediately by ROM flashimg.

For those who frequently change rom , doing a Task29 is highly recommended. It takes less than 5 minutes only. As I often flash roms, I do notice a great difference. If you are testing a new rom you can now safely conclude any "lag" isues ( fresh rom before install 3rd party)  attributed to the new rom

I prefer this simpler method of doing task29 and flashing new rom>

1. Bootloader mode ( with unit switched off, press vol down button and off key ) - you will see tricolor screen
2. Connect phone to PC - you will see "serial" mode on screen change to "usb"
3. Run the Tsk29 exe file
4. When complete , you will see a white sv=creen and phone will stop at there as there is no rom to boot
5. Disconnect phone, take out battery , go into bootloader mode again ( step 1 )
6. Connect phone to PC ( as step 2 )
7. Run the rom flash exe RUU file
6. After flash complete  and phone completed booting - hard reset it again
*
You could skip step 5&6. At the end of step 4 just before it reboot press vol down key. No need to yank out the battery.wink.gif

Need help here.

I stay in PJ but the HD2's weather panel at the Today's panel kept showing the Seremban weather forecast.

When I pop over to the weather forecast, I can see Seremban as the fourth location. I try to remove location but Seremban is not there.

Why ah?
*
That is because Seremban has been selected as your location therefore cannot be deleted. Change your weather location to PJ and then you can delete Seremban.

I discovered this my accident when my daughter SMS me asking what I meant in the SMS I just sent her. I discovered that I sent her a gabbled SMS without my knowledge. I had setup my device to Wake Up with new SMS and my device was in my pocket with the screen facing the body.

Your skin can operate the capacitive screen thru the clothing, esp if it is slightly damped. Try this, slightly damp a small area of a handkerchief and use the damped part on the screen. Your fingers can be inches away from the screen yet the damped cloth can active the screen. shocking.gif
