Most of the time is E but what i meant is ref to attached screen capture (highlight in RED). I still see '3G MY MAXIS' instead 'MY MAXIS'

I believe the top icon ( G,E,3G,H) is the actual indicator of the type of service you are getting from the Telco.
Do you know that you can customize MY MAXIS/3G MY MAXIS to any words you want?

Its not that we dont want to answer you, its just that too many people are asking the same question.

perhaps you should use the search function next time  biggrin.gif
Just to share,

in order to make the manila internet tab to start the opera 10, we just have to set the opera 10 as the default browser.  doh.gif

Anyway, the problem that came across now- pinch to zoom is not available in opera 10. Any possibilities to tweak it?
*
Use BsBTweak to include Opera 10 to Pinch and Zoom. smile.gif

Yeah..so it will restore all the settings also including the lost quicklink?

Anyway..just one more question....What the differ between lvl 1 , 2 and 3 when i need to restore the backup?

Last time , i used level 3 backup to restore it...

Is there any differ to htc hd 2 if restore the backup using differ level from sprite backup?

Thanks for da help
*
Level 1: Use this option to perform restore operations between the same devices with different
ROM revisions. For example: restoring from a KJAM ROM 2.16.9 to a KJAM AKU2 ROM version.
Level 2: Use this option when you wish to restore across devices and ROM versions. For example:
When restoring a backup file created on a WM2005 KJAM device onto a WM 2005 JAZJAR device.
Level 3: If your device does not boot after performing a ‘ROM Upgrade’ or ‘Device Upgrade’
restore use the ‘Safe Upgrade’ operation.

There are many causes that could make the device to hang. The more details you provide the easier to narrow down the cause.

I thought the "zoom" Dr.Who mentioned was about pinch to zoom.  sad.gif

I installed and tried but somehow it was just standardized zooming  shakehead.gif

WM6.5 is not bug free. I have encountered the same. But if it occurs on a regular basis, backup the full system, hard reset and resort and the problem will go away. But it will return after sometime.

dude, let me get myself clear on this.

u mean there is no rom development going on? o even yes, different version of rom still poses the same prob / error / bug?
*
What Rishy meant was that your question has been asked and answered in this Thread many times. Our views on the various cooked ROMs are also in this Thread. Need to do a bit of search.

I have Swype as one of my SIP. My version was ported from Omnia II not HD2 T-mobile and it is working perfectly.

Flashing Season! I just did a multi flash trying to get rid of gremlins.

Backup>Flash Stock 1.66>Hard Reset>Flash Dutty 1.8a>Hard Reset>Flash Radio 2.08.50.08_2>Hard Reset>Restore

All in about 40 mins. Hope the gremlins will disappear.

what is meant by gremlins?
*
gremlin=any cause of trouble, difficulties, etc. For my case my HD2 acts funny once in a while, including Sleep of Death.
After multi flash my device feels very fluid.

Actually there's an easier way to ensure you get a real clean flash without using a stock ROM. Try Task 29 or MTTY from xda-developers. Task 29 will reformat the entire phone including certain areas not accessible on a normal flash. It will erase everything except Radio ROM and bootloader.
I had a bad flash until I discovered Task 29 and it has been on my procedures from then on. By the way Radio ROM 2.09.xx.xx is out and it has been good for me. But no 576MB RAM Hack.
*
Will give Task 29 a try next time. wink.gif I had 576MB before and HD2 does not need that extra RAM released. It is over rated and restricts your ROM and Radio choice.

Couldn't resit, I reflashed with Task 29 and hope my problem will go away. Task 29 will remove auto Hard Reset caused by many flashes. smile.gif

Not to mention the Radio ROM compatible with this hack gives very bad call quality. Background noise and cracking is all over the place. Its like talking to a two way radio. Hahaha!
*
I didn't have any problem with the Radio that came with 576MB, reception was normal. Only reduced battery life.

Hmmm that is strange. Whats the best radio do you recommend? I'm on 2.09.xx.xx.
*
My preference is 2.08.50.08_2 Strong signal and long battery life. I have not tried 2.09 though.

2.08.50.08_2 + 2.10 ROM = OK
2.08.50.08_2 + 1.66 ROM = noise

Now using 2.09 + 1.66 ROM = delightful
*
Mine is 2.08.50.08_2+1.66 Dutty ROM+Maxis. No noise hmm.gif

The 2.08.50.08_2 is not the Radio that enables 576MB RAM Hack right? It should be the variant with 51 in it. Am I right?
*
You are right. Dutty v1.6 ROM enabled 576MB and it came with a Radio. I can't recall which Radio but definitely not 2.08. I am away from my PC until Friday so I can't check. Dutty v1.6 ROM is no longer available for download now. I have requests from others for this ROM but are unable to upload as it exceed 100MB.

guys. i found this. Manila Style MoDaCo NoData
Has anyone tested it? Any comments?  hmm.gif

Most probably you are using BsB Tweak. Version 1.6 has a very good No Data feature, no data will get thru if enabled.

i'm not using any tweaks, nor any custom roms. this is my 1st winmo and the only thing i've installed is Opera 10.  sweat.gif
so help me guys....  notworthy.gif
*
I don't have MoDaCo. No Data in BsB Tweak is a VERY SIMPLE feature; Data On or Off that is all!
You should consider BsB Tweak, it is the easiest way to tweak your HD2.
