go buy velodyne impact 10, price at 1.2k
unless you want a bigger one there is a velodyne impact 12 something like that, around 1.7k

I am ex-velodyne user...the CHT-12R which retail for around RM3000 when it first launch in Malaysia. I think the sound is not very good lah....very boomy. It can play lots of bass but i would say crappy bass. From that experience, I would not recommend a veleodyne sub. Just my opinion.

On the phone they might not give the best price. See them in person maybe can bargain down a bit more (and give you chance to audition also).

Frankly I don't think many of us here have actually heard some of these subs, so can't really give you a good opinion. Best to check some of the reviews online.

But the price on that Polk is very attractive.

That would be abt USD380 after taxes. I assume the price is inclusive of shipping fee. If not, expect to pay more.

I bet he sure does. Then again, there are quite a few ppl who are not aware of it as they might not have read the shipping conditions or the terms.

well this is strictly my personal opinion only. playing music in pure direct with only marantz without emo in between sounded better to me.

i never really listen to any other power amp so cant comment. emo is the 1st power amp i actually have time to sit down and listen to.

Hopefully. If it is below RM5K, then it's good.

Not sure whether they are doing B&O ICE power amp for 2 channel. I am hoping for a 300W for stereo.

So tell me which SVS sub fits the bill?

by right the thread starter is asking about some 1.5k to 2k sub available.

But then some how SVS is always in the way, If HT kaki can do a special promo for SVS like stock clearance "hehee" discount up to 70% for SVS and Klipsh items, then we will all go to his shop and look see for a good buy.

But of course this wont happen soon enough.

He did mention it to me quite a while ago when he was renovating his new crib with a dedicated HT room. So, probably he wanted a bigger sub to fill in there. Definitely a 12" sub. So, I guess that he has intention to sell off his current sub.

I tumpang this thread, I am looking for a 12" active subwoofer around RM1,500 budget. Mainly for music.

Which sub is much better for music than movies ?? Priority given for music quality..

Looking for best value sub around that range, pls dun recommend me something in 2k-3k range that is out of my budget...

Went to Desa LY, the staff there recommend me Polk PSW125... sounds pretty impressive for drums and bass.. and pretty good on movies like Day After Tomorrow ...

Read from other forum that at that price, there are a lot of much better sub than Polk PSW125...

Thanks
