1: disable windows defender
2: disable firewall
3: disable user account control
4: registry edit
5: disable some startup program/windows service
6: disable windows login sound /disable parsing autoexec.bat
7: disable super fetch system/ disable application compatibility engine
8: disable system restore / disable error report
9: enable to use whole l2 cache
10:defrag disk / disk clean / registey defrag / registry clean (after 1-3 weeks..takes only less then 1 hour total)
11:use rainmeter instead of vista sidebar ( vista sidebar tend to "eat up" so much process)
12:use object dock plus instead of rocket dock (much faster load)
total memory used after boot up 500-600 mb
Thanks for suggestion of using rainmeter. Never heard this application before. Now using with for my Vista and it using less resources than original sidebar. 1: disable windows defender
