Can anyone recommend some short and linear JRPG like Eternal Sonata, Parasite Eve and Crimson Gem Saga for any console?

Bro you ever play Persona 3 or 4?

Not short but it's one of the best JRPGs for ps2.

Lunar is the whole reason I'm looking for a short JRPG now.. don't want to be occupied with any other game when my PSP Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star arrives rclxm9.gif

Chrono Cross is short? I've been pondering whether to play that since last year laugh.gif Will give it a try flex.gif

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - PS2 (I'm playing Riku story now)
Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria - PS2 (Alicia and Silmeria, and no I'm not talking about Senjou no Valkryia)
Xenogear - PSOne (this one is linear but complicated in story though)

The Lufia/Estpolis series? Lufia II quite short, if you play2-3 hours everyday I think 1 month can finish already if you skip all side quests as well.

Saga Frontier also suit the propose. It can be short and linear if you follow the storyline but it can be very non-linear if you like to explore the possiblity.
