Other forum already pointed out several bugs and flaws of this newest firmware, hoping that Nokia will look after it and release next firmware to fix it. For helloOX, u can always check on this site: http://helloox2.com/?page=news Dun worry, once it release, I'm sure lyn will flooded with the news. |

QUOTE(roommate @ Jan 18 2010, 11:08 AM) Its already closed for alpha tester. Juz sit back n relax while waiting for beta/full version. I presume u didn't know what kinetic scrolling means. Previously, our beloved 5800 doesn't equip with kinetic scrolling at all, its so hassle to scroll in contact list / media list to find files. But now, u juz need to flip ur finger, then it'll scroll all the way down/up. Cool~! |

BTW, the maps is not Garmin hor..Garmin is just Navigation software...Xploit you should giving malfreemaps abit of credit rather than just said it's Garmin maps...The maps belong to Malfreemaps.com
& not from garmin |

On the new firmware, earlier I reported that the "hang kei" issue while browsing the maps solved.....ehhh actually it's hang too in latest version..
Apparently I thing the "hang Kei" started when the phone started to get satelite fixed. So the only solution now is to avoid satelite fixed if need to browse map..i.e temporary disable acquiring satelite feature 1st |

Hmnnn for me no wor...This version is the most stable version running GMXT...except once got the satelite fixed, the hang kei problem started...I will try later to disable the satelite acquisition onbce outside & check whether hang...
Yours...probably u install too many programmes already compare when u are on V31 __________________________ Ok tested by keeps on dragging & zooming in & out.....Wth GPS on, it freeze minutes after getting the 1st fixed....Much stable than previous version...Later, me also tested by diabling the GPS function in GMXT...yeah it freeze too after few minu8tes of dragging & zooming in/out....Nothing to do wth satelite acquisition QUOTE(IamNOT @ Jan 20 2010, 10:11 AM) No.... It will hang during browse map no matter what.... This post has been edited by stimix: Jan 20 2010, 10:45 AMI use several dirrerent cards to test still same result... Even more terrible than v31... |

OVi maps not bad but coverage still not as good as malfreemaps..BTW, it is not 100% free. U can off the AGPS for 1005 free from GPRS/3G charges but you can't avoid the ~RM30/mth voice navigation charges unless u are buying the navigation version?
QUOTE(azmax100 @ Jan 22 2010, 09:53 AM) Test Ovi map this morning on the way to Office. Found it very accurate and no lagging. With clean map and clear road vision. Voice guidance also much better than Garmin. Just to share some tips when search for street just key in Town before street name. Just plain street name and number (without "/")and search. Hope this will help others. And Yes it's FOC. No charges. |
