Yes, the LCD screen is covered by warranty. But you shouldn't tell them that you dropped the phone in case they ask you to pay for the human mistake done.

It's not a must to bring the warranty card along. They will check your phone imei online to see whether it's still under warranty.

I didnt know V40 is out now. I'm outdated.

Do I need to do soft / hard reset?
I read some say yes while some say no need.
Which is correct?

Updated to V40 via FOTA. Kinetic scrolling is there. Notice some Ovi icons too.

Just found the new contact bar home screen. Finally the contact bar and application short cut can be together. Yay.

I just installed the light vision theme.
Yes, got transparent (as shown in picture number 2) without restarting the phone.

How about the other themes?

It's unsign. You have to sign with your phone dev cert first before installing.

You have to learn to sign those application or hack your phone.

It seems like the only theme that is semi transparent at the homescreen page is the original theme from 5530. Links already been posted a few pages ago.

Still awaiting semi transparent theme to be developed.

The breathing light is no longer working even when I have messages or miss call. anyone facing the same problem too with the latest firmware?

Hmm....i need to check again then.
Mine set to no limit too.
Notification light for miss call and messages. Not activating standby breathing light tho.

I think it's a bug in the contact bar homescreen.

I do feel the phone is laggy compare to before.
Maybe it's because of the homescreen. Contacts + shortcuts?

Using garmin and receive an sms, the whole phone straight hang. sad.gif

Which map is better is up to the user's own opinion. Below are some facts that will help you judge. Comparison is based on MFM v1.45 vs MSM v2.30b.

- For Perlis, Kedah and Penang, MFM has more details than MSM as MSM is still using old maps from MFM mappers.
- For Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang, MFM has more details than MSM as MSM is still using old maps from MFM mappers.
- For Perak, MFM has more details than MSM as MSM is still using old maps from MFM mappers.
- For Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, MFM has more details than MSM as MSM is still using old maps from MFM mappers.
- For Negeri Sembilan, MFM has more details than MSM especially at Seremban and vicinity
- For Melaka, MFM has as much details as MSM in Melaka town. MFM is more up to date but may not have as many POIs. For smaller towns such as Masjid Tanah, MFM has more details.
- For Johor, MFM has as much details as MSM except in Batu Pahat. MSM has better coverage for Batu Pahat. MFM has more details for Segamat, Kluang, Muar and Ayer Hitam.
- For Sabah and Sarawak, MFM has less details and coverage than MSM. MFM's focus is on major town centres.
- For Singapore, MFM has less POIs than MSM.

Xploit Machine posted download links for Vodaphone hs a few pages ago.
Check it out. It's for unhack phone but you have to sign the installer first before installing to your phone.

Nope it's not the lock / unlock key at the side of the phone. It's the slides key on the screen. Try lock your phone and asking someone to call you.
