as far as i know,x6 use symbian^1 just like ours phone
and n97 are like symbian^2(correct me if im wrong)  

err...anyone who have ori phone..want 2 know how long warranty 4 screen? go survey at melaka town yesterday,all shop i went give 3 month warranty 4 screen 4 original phone..is dat normal?

Warranty Period

The warranty period starts at the time of Product’s original purchase by the first end-user. The Product may consist of several different parts and different parts may be covered by a different warranty period (hereinafter “Warranty Period”). The different Warranty Periods are:

  1. twelve (12) months for the mobile device and accessories (whether included in the mobile device sales package or sold separately) other than the consumable parts and accessories listed in (b) and © below;
  2. six (6) months for the following consumable parts and accessories: batteries, chargers, desk stands, headsets, cables and covers; and
  3. ninety (90) days for the media on which any software is provided,e.g. CD-rom, memory card.

As far as your national laws permit, the Warranty Period will not be extended or renewed or otherwise affected due to subsequent resale, repair or replacement of the Product. However, repaired part(s) will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or for sixty (60) days from the date of repair, whichever is longer.

then why all the sellers say even for original phone,the warranty did not cover all phone (camera 6 months,screen 3 months etc.)..

I just updated my 5800..
The updates on version 40, I'll have to say is really really cool..
Loved it..

However I hope they do something about the home screen's design..

It's a blunt 2D.. Very Plain.. I think see through would look better..

Something I've noticed is that, my contact bar does not have the '*' when I get a message from one of my contacts which is placed there.

I recalled it having the '*' when I first installed, but then the '*' got stuck to the image even after I've read the sms/see the misscall. Then I restarted and then no more '*' for unattended notifications .

Need help. after i have updated my 5800 to version 40, i found that everytime i open ovi map it will open calender 1st and connect to gprs/wap service. is there anybody has face the same problem?

nope. that's just the way s60 treat files received from other source be it thru bluetooth or infrared.
