The sales person at Cycom (lowyat plaza) said that it is around RM 180- RM200. He also added that now RAM upgrade is very expensive due to high demand and newer technology. Perhaps it would be wiser to wait for awhile before upgrading since RAM prices will mostly drop after some time ^____^
Seen this particular lappy at lowyat plaza yesterday. I'm rather impressed with its build quality, previous Acers seemed fragile, not this one though XD. Not sure about the hardwares though @_____@
the high cost of DDR3 is mainly due to relative cheaper price of DDR2, now that RAM makers are back in full production after the economic crisis...Seen this particular lappy at lowyat plaza yesterday. DDR2 is still the cash cow for the makers, thanks to 64-bit computing and the large user base of DDR2 (the popularity of Intel Core 2, especially the E6000 and Q6000 series, and the backward compatibility of AMD Phenom II/Athlon II)...
