guys, do this graphic card can support FIFA 10?

hey...i have d hang prob n had 2 force shut down oso n i jz sent 2 d acer service centre on mon. den d guy called me 2day n told me it din hang when he was testing it n he ad on d laptop 4 a day. ==?? its ad 1 mth plus since i bought it. kinda regret of buying a laptop so soon....hopefully it will last 4 at least 3 yrs la.... haizz~

FIFA 10 is not a resource hungry game...my 4 year old ATI x700 with 64MB DDR can play wif Mid-high settings..so it should be able to handle..

Hi, can you describe the hang? Did the whole computer just freeze?, I mean, can you still move the mouse pointer, or the mouse pointer, keyboard everything freeze? My issue was, everything freeze, mouse pointer doesnt move, keyboard input doesnt work. Had to switch off using the power button.

Seems like the hang problem come from Win 7, some say do windows update will solve the problem.

last night i did the windows update ... it seems that no 'freeze problem' happen after that ...
will see if it happen again tonight ...

Now we can prove to ppl.. Freeze can not only be RAM or other hardware problem.. its WIndows.. lol..

Otherwise ppl will blame ACER again.. lol

How does this model compares with asus a42jr ?

A42Jr has better GPU but slower CPU and longer warranty by default.

but is the difference between i3 and i5 really significant?
i mean, for casual user, how can we notice the difference?

i3 less power consumption
i5 more performance
i5 got quad core
i3 dual core

im using the very model right now
its a charm

not really for casual user...

i3 and i5 has the same TDP
i5 has no quad core

after i format my laptop....everything working just fine!!!

Hey all,

I just get my 4740G at last.
I order it on Monday and get it just now.
It spend me RM2820. (4GB + 3 years warranty) with free gift.
I spend near to 2 hours then just collect my 4740G successful.
The technician there thought I don't know computer one.
The first unit got problem can't even boot up I think is recovery problem.
This recovery took abt half an hour.
After recover still cannot then I asked them exchange another unit to me than ok.
Some others things happen.
Tell u all next time.
I took about 1h15m to burn 3RecoveryDVD and 1 AppDriver DVD.

For those who face the freeze or hang problem.
Please patch the Win7 hotfix as mentioned front of this post.

So Acer 4740G or Asus A42JR ?

go to my computer...then right click...search for manage....then search for disk management then go to the C volume then expand....

hello guys.. actually i want buy a new laptop, mayb next saturday.. can anyone give an advice to me whether it is worth it or not to buy this ACER 4740G-432G50 since i see too many feedback with pros and cons.. yesterday i went to kuantan area and ask bout this laptop.. that selllers told me that this laptop got many prob la, no people want to buy this laptop la, not sell anymore la, easy overheated la, not worth it la.. and one more question, why this laptop doesnt have any review either in acer website, youtube, cnet.com.. thanks a lot!!!
