hey...i wana ask:
1. y sometimes when i start my windows, d 'starting windows' sentence will appear 1st n den sum kind of weird sentences wit sum code (i duno hw 2 write it down) will appear?
2. y sumtimes d windows will restart automatically? (i din press/touch anything)
3. i bought a 4-port usb hub (not branded 1) n aft i used it quite sum time, den a msg popped out saying dat d port has reached it power limit or sumthg like dat. n wen i plug in my external keyboard in d hub, d keyboard cant b used anymore (las time can use but aft d msg popped out, cant anymore) i can only use d speakers n d fan using d port. y?
4. i can only use certain things dat have usb port wit d 4-port usb hub, like speakers, mouse keyboard but aft i plugged in my pendrive or my handphone cable in2 d usb hub, its either my cable cant b used or only my pendrive can b used, d other things cant. y?
5. how 2 do a recovery cd 4 my windows?

p/s: d touchpad is very very sensitive. but i use my external mouse most of d time bcz i x rily like touchpad... =)

i can feel dat my laptop is getting slower when it loads webpages or respond 2 my clicks. does dis means dat d ram is getting weaker or bcz of other reasons?

The price for 4740 would be RM2099 which when you bought it with ORI Win 7, RM2300 which is reasonable and also with upgraded RAM ...while 4740G is priced at RM2499 (well, shops are selling at this price or maybe lower)....

err.. how to reformat? i know nothing about computer.. just basic ..

There should be a recovery mode.. To restore your system to factory default..

Upon starting your pc i think you press F12 or F10(I forgot) many times.. and the recovery console should show up..

Dont do a clean install..(Which is better..) but since you are quite new to computers.. it might be quite hard for you..

Try the recovery partition 1st..

how many partition acer give?

can sum1 help me? it show only half size of the harddisk..

Just press ALT+F10 when you start the system.

I'm considering of getting 1. Can anyone give any suggestions about the performance of this 4740G? Overheat concerns me.

probably won't overheat, but then i've had bad experiences with Acer lappies. Performance won't be really great...get the i5-520M minimum for some true performance. and the GT 310M is a really weak card; it can only run Crysis at lowest possible settings and res, even so at around 25 fps.
