Hi Brico,

The Korean Academy models are more or less of the same quality. I personally have an Academy Liger Zero and it works fine.

The HMM models are for posing (like Gundam kits) and cannot move (unlike the 'old school battery operated type').

Welcome to Zoids, Brico.

Are Zoids anime back on national TV? I didn't even know that.
Glad to hear that it's springing up some new interest in this line.

Looks like we need a new anime if we want new Zoids models.
Anyone here have any experience in script writing?

On a side note - I'm kinda surprised that RCZ is stalled.
Hope TakaraTomy comes through with Descat, Iceblazer and Godkaiser.

Thank you all for the help. For those interested the rerun is Sunday NTV7 11.30am. I am now thinking of getting Mugen Liger as the next model for my kid, as it has this growl and walk feature correct?

Thanks for the info on the TV show. I hope it's a BM voice dub. Wonder how Rei Mii sounds?

Mugen Liger - chomp + walk. stops. open mouth. growl + eyes lights up. then repeats.
The growl is not very loud but still an impressive kit, none the less.
Too bad the big blades on the kit does not swing around like in the anime.

I don't think so. i believe the pic only serves to show what's inside the tail to make it so flexible.

With it's price, it would take a very brave (and rich) man to try it out! laugh.gif

I would stick with HMM for the details of the model but in terms of quality... these people still got a long way to go.. kotobukiya I mean..

Totally agree. HMMs are fun to build and when finished, they look great on the shelf. BUT the tendency for the parts to fall off while posing is a bit maddening at times. and the quality of the plastic is also an issue. though i realise model kits are not supposed to be played around like a toy. but if parts fall off at the slightest touch, and gluing is not an option unless you forgo the poseability, then there's obviously a problem. but despite all that complaints, i still find myself keep checking the Koto site for the latest HMM release. and seriously, Koto, where's the IK MK II ?!
